Big mental test for the lads this week, we will field a better team and have played far better football than the Blues. But no doubt as usual they will play out of their skins as they always do against us, and have held a mental edge for a few years now.

No changes unless King or Griffiths are fit, then A Maric and McGuane make way. If McGuane plays he must play forward, can't have him up to his stupid shit in the back line.

Speaking to Matt Honsby Saturday before the game, he concluded;
Both Griffiths, King will be available for selection.....
The coaches will decide whether to keep either Post, or McGuane, to allow Griffiths back in.
King if they think he's ready will come in for A.Maric.
White has 1 week to go from suspenstion....
What is anyone's thoughts on O'hallon , although he's taking baby steps, he seems to be improving (thaat obvisouly goes with playing a few consectitive games). He appears to be adjusting to the tempo, & reading of the game?
If this is true I'd expect Griff and King to come in to McGuane and Lil Maric

O'Hanlon needs a full game, I keep saying it

Says who? He played well against Gold Coast and while he kicked 4 against Melbourne if you watched that whole game you couldn't make a case for him that he was any good. Yesterday he again finished with 3, but had 8 posessions and virtually no impact on the game, as silly as that may sound. He will stay in the side, im not saying drop him but next season we need another answer. Last year against North in round 4 he had 30+ and kicked 3... He's gone backwards at a rapid rate this year.
Says me, which is good enough for me as it's my opinion. Thanks for asking though.

I don't agree, I think the fact that he runs around and jumps up and down a lot fools people. He was good last week, yesterday he was woeful. And his 4 goal game against Melbourne was one of the worst 4 goal games I have ever seen.
Thought he was good yesterday.
I don't understand the 'worst four goal performance' statement. Would you have rathered he kick 2 instead?

I'm in shock for about the 4th time in 24 hours!
Shocker fever and haven't left the couch for days, couldn't believe tigers couldn't go on with it,nearly passed out when mcguane went to defence, watched the golf and am still not sure if it was real and now I'm hearing that Nahas has to go?

Even the most ardent Nahas knockers would say this has been a good season for him.We have been dragged across the line by him almost in some of our really poor games.

He will always have weaknesses but honestly if he isn't in our top ten players I'll go he.

I think people just automatically expect players to improve to the point where they are all Gary Abletts or Scott Pendleburys when it's just simply not the case. Nahas is a footballer with limited ability and limited scope to improve. I actually suggest he has improved immensely this year, particularly his defensive efforts. Not sure what people want from him? He's never going to be a 30-possession midfielder. He's a goalkicking forward-mid who has been very lively the past month and a half.
If anyone deserves criticism for underperforming this year, Nahas is one of the last ones to be singled out. Now, if we want to talk about Jake King or Dustin Martin then that's a different story.

Whatever our team is this week, we better make sure we have the new poster boy at Carlton covered.......Andy Collins. The love is growing. Personally I think he's a dud and we won so well out of that deal it's not funny. Collins plays a good game against who? the bulldogs....pffft. Delusion at it's best.

Surely you cannot be serious! I swear some people do not watch Richmond games and obviously didnt see Angus Graham play for Coburg on Saturday! He is a waste of space. He will never make it in the AFL and giving him another chance there is just denying someone a spot who may actually make it. And surely the guys saying Post will come out are kidding? He did a great job. If Griff is back id be happy to see one go to CHF and one CHB. Maric will surely come out for Griff if fit. Also, Arnot has done a hammy and is out, so stop suggesting him to come in.
Who then? Who plays ruck if not Ivan?

Collins is better than A Maric. Has really good skills. But no doubt we ripped them on that trade. Grigg has been amazing this year, and he was good last year - will be top 5 in our B&F. Tell me Carlton wouldn't bite our hands off to reverse that trade right now...

My point is, for a small forward to kick 4 goals, you would think it was a stand out game, but the game against Melbourne he was very poor in the first half, and then got a few cheapies.

I'm not a Nahas knocker, I've always been a fan, but I dont think there is doubt he's gone backwards this year. As Foleys Footy said, last year against North he had 30 and kicked 3, yesterday he had 7 and kicked 3.

In regards to this weeks game, there's no reason why we can't be a depleted Carlton side, this is our best opportunity against them in a long time, and it will be good to bounce back well.

he has kicked 11 in the last three weeks and has 25 for the season - on track for a mid thirties year - his best result in a year. Also he has kiced 25 .12 so he is the only player in our team who is a reliable kick at goal.

To suggest he is not earning his keep seems a little strange.

One thing that annoys me about Nahas is his complete lack of penetration in his kicking, especially on his left. If only he had the same kind of penetration that I hear he has off the field.

He does his bit in most games though and I didn't think A.Maric was that bad in the first half yesterday.

OUT: McGuane, Moore
IN: King (if he's ready), Griffiths

If Maric is injured, chuck in Browne, at least he gives it his all, then give Post a go in the ruck too.

I don't think I have ever seen him use his left! Probably the most one sided (right-footers) in the league. Having said that....as a goal scoring small forward, surely he gets a pass this year.

Nahas ability to weave through traffic, spot the right option and get that outside of his right foot pass is second to none. As a small forward his job isnt to get 30 disp, but goals, score assists and foward defensive pressure. and so far is 2nd for goals, = first for assists (with Lids) 4th forth for tackles, 4th marks inside 50, and (excluding Graham and Morris) 3rd for goal accuracy. He flys under the radar. Interesting, Watson said on Sunday he is heaps better when King is beside him. I agree.

He was doing it last year.

Is Big Maric even that injured?

I think Hardwick might have played up his injuries a bit to cover up that giant mistake that was resting him against Gold Coast

He's still our second highest goal scorer this year, probably tells us where we are at right now. Dea has been building his game yesterday was ok, he is worth putting games into.

O'Hanlon seems to have escaped the wrath on here. I've yet to see much at all from him...compare our sub with theirs...destroyed us.
I thought the idea of of the sub was to have a bit of impact when the game had slowed down. Ohanlon got what? 2 kicks.
A bit of run through the guts would have been crucial.

Not really a fair comparison though is it, our sub to theirs. They have Ziebel and Macintosh out, other than that they have their full list available they had a senior footballer on the bench. We are a year behind them or more in physical development and we are playing our first year pre season draft kids, might be expecting to much.
