Kreuzer is the only one we should be worrying about from that lot.

Big blow to them. Has improved this season.
Are they tanking already?

(joking, relax Carlton posters, just a bit of banter;))

We have more players available this week - since we are only missing 11 not 13/22 of players ( like last week) who played up to round 4 ie best 22. Henderson has been playing with groin issue all year - one week on three weeks off. Kreuzer is playing with serious hip and knee issues as does Jamison with shoulders ( so I am saying pretty much 14 /22 players have not been available since round 4 for more than 40% of time) as well as this ...4/4 talls in VFL were all injured up till 2 rounds ago with knee reconstrucitons and Rowe with testicular cancer. Carlton has been playing with not only massive injuries to top22 but also with massive injury to next 10 best from VFL. So yep - we suck it up cop the crap from teh usual Collonwood and EssenScum knockers - listen to crap about how bad Ratten is and smile at 'tanking' comments as well.

The team that pantzed you in round 1 - isnt' playing - cant really understand the odds being put out there at the moment - Richmond should be very firm favourites.

As for Collins versus Grigg - there is no 'debate' both Clubs traded fairly and got what they wanted. Grigg wanted opportunity and Richmond was good enough to trade in good faith - something that cant be said for Adelaide and the Jacobs situation. Collins has had serious injury issues since arriving and now in his first injury free year is showing a lot of skill, courage and potential. Grigg is enjoying being in a top22 week in week out- something that he couldn't really achieve at Carlton - given our strength in outside mids. Each way win I reckon for all concerned - and no issue between Clubs except fair deal done well.

If Robinson, Waite, Kruezer and Lucas are up for "test" as reported by CFC and are included, then their will be 6 Carlton players missing from round 1, and we will be missing 5 from round one.

Is Curnow injured? If so and he is out that will be 7-5 not 6-5.

I agree with you Livonski what I was suggesting though was that he's not ready but we don't have any other options right now.
No probs. Just wondering if a quick little bloke like Webberley might have been a better option late in the game than OHanlon who seems more a lead up forward flanker type.

The whole Grigg-Collins debate has been misargued (if that is a word) by both clubs' supporters.
Trading is about like for like. You trade out a player for a similar player on a needs basis. Yes, Grigg was out of contract and could have walked, but Richmond wanted to do business the honourable way with both Grigg and Houli. Richmond offered pick 47 for Houli and Essendon said no due to them not wanting to use the pick (and then they went and used it anyway). Carlton came to the party and both clubs did business the right way.
Richmond needed an elite outside endurance runner. Grigg was identified. Collins is a brave, skilful warrior but isn't an elite endurance runner. We gave up something we valued for something we valued.
Precisely. It seems that when trading is discussed around here there has to be a win/loss for it to be a success. We've got a few Collins types, had no Grigg types...clearly.

Add to that Touhy and Warnock, Blues will actually look half decent if they can get them all - 6 very nice ins for them

True, but i was just comparing round 1, and if we get King and Griff back the Tankers are still only a few players off the pace. And Touhy is nothing flash and equal in quality at this stage to Dea.

Understood mate - I think sooo much of this game will be determined by both teams "test" players.

We need Maric out of the side, and McGuane to NEVER NEVER NEVER go into our backline again, and King/Griff does that for us.

:DCouldn't be more wrong, matey. MadTiger won't like this. Oh, he'll love the bit about his love child Post, but you have confessed to missing the game. Under no circumstances is missing a Tigers game acceptable to MadTiger. Attending the game comes before family and everything else!!

Yeah i guess when ya dad is in palliative care its no excuse.

Sorry, I was wrong, 1 kick.
It's not about being fair, it's about the team and changes that may need to be made. Ohanlon might end up ok but not getting a sniff yesterday cost us dearly. Their sub was a match winner in comparison, don't care if he's played 1 game or 100.

this is our depth issue. cambell comes on and contributes, ohanlon comes on and doesnt. not his fault just where we are.

LOL. Spud of biblical proportions.

Look at our options though. Gus was an epic fail, and Derickx just not up to it. Only ruck left after those two if Maric is injured is Browne

Maric may not even play. That's the time when I go through that terrible feeling of... here comes Browne or Graham

WE NEED another quality ruckman... yes I know Vickery is out for the season, but what if a similar injury problem happens next year (f***ing hope not!), we are back to where we started. We need an adequate back up for Maric, don't think that's on our current list, so might need to go searching again!

Last year I thought post could b a better option than gus or browne .

Post has some ability in the ruck and could provide extra run and link.
