O'Hanlon has no impact as a sub - Maric has played the sub well once (against St. Kilda)...

Poor Griff.

So many injuries.

If he had played every game since his debut he would be playing his 50th this week - instead he has played 15.

Something is not right with this guy and its frustrating the hell out of me. He will be 21 by the time the season is over. They all seem to be niggling type injuries.

Next year is a very important year for him.

I was right in front of him when he did his calf. He didn't go to the bench for a rub and have Hardwick sub him out as the media reported. He ran off as fast as he could and down into the rooms , he couldn't put his leg on the ground. Calf is a 3-4 weeker.

I imagine A. Maric only got a gig ahead of O'Hanlon as he needs more so to prove himself than Brett does in order to retain a spot on the list into the future.

That or something crazy like team balance.

How long has it been? 3 weeks?

ok then why the bullshit from the club saying he was "test' the last two weeks. Not having a go at you - more the club.

i tell you what have a look on the essendon site and see what they do with the injured players listing - we deserve at least that level of accurate info.

Gus as sub tells me Evan is still a chance to come out.

Yeah and he was a late withdrawal for the gold coast game, so why did he even go up and be named if it was always gunna be 3 - 4 weeks
Might have something to do with how we only have 30 players to pick from. In fact IIRC when the GC game was on we only had around 27 to choose from with Astbury Miller and Browne the only 3 players who were available that didn't travel.

Some coaches are open about injury info, some are all secret squirrel. Dimma seems to be of the school of saying as little as possible in this area (not surprising given he came through under Sheeds and Choco).

Agree on Gus. Not loving the way this team looks TBH

Ben Griffiths might be our Scott Gumbleton. But we've seen he can do the job for us, we've just got to be patient with him. If anyone is going to upgrade from a strain to a tear off the bone, it is him. Blues have no gorillas, hopefully he comes up for Brown and Sauce next week.

Could just turn out to be one of those players that AFL does not agree with.

Miller must've been some chance for that game, unless they wanted him to act as a coach because he was in cairns

Looking at the omission of all our talls you'd think Kreuzer will play.

Looks like Post will go forward too with our lack of third tall back unless McInnes and Thornton both play back and we go with just Casboult as our tall forward.

Yeah but if he was facing 3 - 4 weeks on the sidelines...... i can only think there were trying to fool GC with a late change.

My only issue is I think it is a dangerous sign when Jake King for the second time this year walks back into the 22 after a 4 week + lay off. Say what you want about our winning record with Jake I don't think he has affected the results that greatly. I think he is best 22 but certainly not a walk up start or shouldn't be in most AFL sides and it is saying a lot about the current state of our depth.
