Out: Scott Selwood and if it doesn't happen Nisbett and I are having lunch and he'll be damned lucky to walk away alive.

What pisses me of about Selwood is he running better than ever, he runs forward so well.
Then ****s up so many simple shots on goal, and his handball is weak when he gives of.

He is actually smart and getting to the right areas at the feet of the ruckmen and all over the ground in gerneral play. Kicking and hands letting him down atm.

He's an aggressive player just like Gov. I reckon we do indeed.

People need to keep perspective. Barrass is probably going to play pretty bad in his debut. He is a young KPP he is not going to set the world on fire in his first game.

Throwing him up against Buddy or Tippet first up is not going to do him any good. He is just going to be pants-ed and lose confidence.

Barrass has to come in. I don't see how you can go small against a team with Buddy, Tippett, and a resting ruck (Nankervis/Pyke) up forward.

Selwood should also be out. Hopefully Butler will be fit to go.

Hutchings played well and I wouldn't mind seeing him get a full game, although I'm not sure who he'd play in place of. Maybe Rosa.

There's always another option, the zone defence! Put another small man back there.

We wouldn't play him if he wasn't ready, even with the injuries but Simmo was talking him up during the week.

Will probably end up on Reid, with Scho on Buddy, who if the swans have sense would be chained to the goal posts, could tear us up.

Shane Watson to fullback!! :)

Out: Gov (sadness), Selwood (he burned me today), arguably Hill
In: Barass, Butler, arguably Nelson to keep Yeo flexible? Not sure.

Hutch to get a full game.

It's been said a few times that our game style and ball movement looks similar to that of Hawthorn, this type of game is cutting up Sydney.

Sigh. The opposite logic is true. As it stands Barrass is simply the best option by a long long way, irrespective of his youth and inexperience. If Barrass works out then Simpson might grow a pair and take the next step and be more flexible with how he uses McGovern (assuming he's back after a month).

Not playing Barrass was a mistake and that mistake doesn't justify his non selection on the grounds of fear.

I just think people are doing the standard "build up the big unknown as the next savior."

Odds are he is going to get smashed by Buddy/Tippet.

This will be unpopular, but I don't think Selwood was that bad today. That being said, Hutchings was really impressive when he came on.

Hope Gov gets up, seems unlikely. It's Barrass time!!!!

I actually realistically think Selwood will be dropped.

Simmo has already said his form has been average and that you must perform to keep your spot. This is the worst performance Scotty has produced since his abysmal North game and i think Simmo has finally had enough. You could see it in on his face when crabwood didn't finish off that great peice of team work and assist from Cripps.

OUT - Gov, Selwood
IN - Barass, Butler

Sinclair played back at some stages when collingwood rucks rested down there , he has trained in the backline at east perth , so Barrass isnt an automatic in

Seen it and while he zones well enough he's too slow to watch a fast forward. If McGovern is out it's afait accompli that Barrass plays. How Sinclair and Naitanui are used when they're not rucking is another question and it's probably smart to play a ruck in defense rather than compromise our run at ground level.

More for Simpson for not playing him sooner and giving him for to think about on debut.
