I disagree.
Firstly due to his good record - he won't be facing any additional time off.
Secondly - the difference in carry over points is largely meaningless. 26.5 or 68.8. These expire within a year anyway.
But lets assume another incident occurs. Then the additional carryover only has impact when the charge is either 80pts or 225pts. At 125 or 325 the outcome is the same.
For someone like lecras - he is rarely going to be suspended - I'd run the gauntlet and have the extra carryover for 12 months and have a crack at having him available for COllingwood.
While I agree with the sentiment, surely costs and the like have to come into it as well. Higher an SC, debate with the tribunal, mount a defence. Wouldn't get much change out of a couple grand and waisted man hours. Surely this sort of thing comes into it as well.
