I hope the selectors are watching Agar at Trent Bridge - shows what youth may do if they take a chance.

How an in-form Grigg possessing a weapon that the team lacks (left foot superb kick) cant get a game ahead of Jaensch?
(maybe its that so-called pace that Jaensch has....... although i've yet to see it except in his verbal diarrhea)

Agar - Bugger, bugger, bugger, 2 runs short of a ton.

It's Jaensch's elite kicking (especially at goal) that has kept Grigg on the sidelines.

There could be a late change, out - Crouch, in - Grigg (or is Tambo over there?)

Jaenschy a very lucky camper. Grigg very unlucky. Glad Lyons is back in. Make or break career this week for MJ. Just can't see how we can win this one.
Mookay better remove the digit this week and show something.

I can understand Mackay to a degree but bloody M Jaensch has done nothing productive all year.

I feared having watched Sandos "plays of the week" and seeing a Jaensch tackle, that Sando just wouldn't drop him. Who gives a flying duck about consistent form do one good thing a week and you're set...

Seriously, Sando keeps harping on about all these "out of form" players, how many has he dropped?

We stumble over Gold Coast then lose the "unloseable" against West Coast and Sando doesn't make 1 unforced change. Not ONE!!!!

Oh well, I suppose if we keep trying the same thing over and over and over again, we're bound to get a different result...

I'll stop here before the alcohol takes me on a big long rant that involves me supporting the Gold Coast and no body caring, least of all the AFC!

Harper last week said we had "6 or 7 players in the side who are out of form..."

Seriously!

If they're out of form, then bloody drop them!!

Sando is full of shit - "We're in a good position, with so many SANFL players performing well and putting pressure on those already in the side."

What crap.

I don't have too much of an issue with the changes, Lyon in was a must so if that means Grigg waits then so be it.

It will be interesting to see how MJ goes, I was one of those hoping he would get an extended run in the team to test his wares, hopefully he starts rewarding the selectors for their patience and starts having a bigger impact (well I guess to us outsiders)

Forget bigger impact, I'd just take an impact

Plays of the week thats 1. Seriously needs to kick at least 2 this week or make 7 or 8 tackles to justify his place in the team. Was unlucky not to be rewarded with HTB for that tackle.
So many of our players need to step it up or we are going to get smashed.

Makes sense seeing Jaensch is probably the Sub.

Rather see that then Grigg there, kid deserves a full game. My problem is Grigg should of got in instead of Mackay. One more week and he'll be in i reckon.

Think this week selections one of better ones keeping in mind lose this and definitely finals all over even the 9th spot.
Lyons in and Petrenko not are positives.
Lucky by far Jaensch but this it probably for career and might be in green.
Mackay lucky but need some run so can only hope he finally provides it.
Grigg unlucky but if not this week will be next.
Think Lyon in to be more midfield and keep Wright more as permanent forward.

I've been thinking for the last month, this must be the week Grigg gets a guernsey... Nope

I picture Mookay telling his grandkids, "one time I was dropped and I had to play a whole game in the SANFL to get a recall, it was madness!!"

My fear is that our true colours lie somewhere in between the two extremes.

I reckon we'll be up there again next season and this season will be a one off. We have had the reverse midas touch since Tippett-gate but this just cancels out last season in terms of luck.

Guess he will look after himself and take it easy during some parts of game and soften his approach to the ball and attempt less tackles.
Got to be ok for clubs after game and got MJ to go with him.
well that's a pathetic post. How about you judge him after the game?

Just a bit of selective humour about a player that does not produce anywhere the talent he has .
Like all posters here no matter their view I hope he blitzes as beating them and power later will take away some of the pain of 2013.

Chill out about Grigg, he will get his go. Mackay adds speed to our side and is in our best 22 when in form. Sando is giving us every chance to win and consequently have a chance of playing finals. I believe Grigg will replace Jaensch if he has a poor game. He may even play this week given that Vince and Crouch have been identified as possible late outs.

As compared to the rest of the last couple of years when Bernie has......................

Yes, he is definitely in our "best 22" but how much difference has his presence made this year? He has scored 2 votes in the AFL Coaches Award (and they were against GWS, Wooossh) which is 13 votes less than Sam "where the bloody hell are you" Kerridge. It's been a similar story with Porplyzia, Reilly and Mackay. If they are in our bottom half a dozen players then why accept this level of mediocrity. Give then a month in the SANFL and demand a higher level of performance when they return and if they don't then play some KIDS in their place.

Can someone please explain to me how Jaensch continues to be selected? Does he have photos of our selectors in compromising positions with a selection of farm animals or something? There is no way on earth that his selection can be justified on the basis of performance.

I think they are giving him an opportunity over an extended period to prove himself.

probably not a bad idea in reality.

The only thing I can think of is that he's in the category of "best of a bad bunch". They must see Jaensch's role as different from that of Grigg/Lyons, and the cupboard is pretty bare behind them for quick smalls.

Surely he's proven himself by now.. to be deadset ordinary and not worth persevering with any longer?

As for the quick small.. Jaensch offers nothing in that role anyway. I'd rather have a one-legged Kerridge or Wright, with Grigg coming into the midfield.
