It'll be Motlop for Gray and that's it. Winning side, we wouldn't select anyone other than the Motlop because we are sackless, even though his performances have been mediocre at best.

The only justification i can see for Motlop playing over a younger forward like Farrell is that Motlop theoretically will get their top or 2nd best small defender. This allows us to keep Rozee and Butters on the lesser talented defenders which we can take advantage of. Playing Farrell in all likelihood puts Rozee square in the firing line of their best small defender, and I'm not sure I'd like that matchup even if I think Rozee is a jet.

Would prefer Cox, Woodcock, Farrell, Johnson or even Frampton in before Trengove as a Forward, even a Nipsy Forward!

Some here thought Toumpas was hard done by too, I don't think any of it's mean some people have a better grasp on footy reality not just where people were rated in their draft year.

Trengove had played 7 games in the 3 years prior to coming to Port Adelaide. I just don’t think it makes sense to write him off after just the 3 games here.

He’s dealt with a brutal injury yet come here for a lifeline and has worked his arse off week in week out when literally any other player would have given up. He was by far our most reliable user of the ball in traffic in his games last year, which means that if he gets it right he could be pretty handy, like honestly UFH and bad disposal are just about the biggest gripes about our side.

Constantly dragging his name every time it very rightly comes up isn’t “having a better grasp on footy reality” it’s literally just being an annoying know-it-all. Everyone knows he’s up against it ffs, he’s slow, he’s relatively old, he’s been out of the game too long blah blah. We get it. We are just hoping he succeeds because he has always had a shitload of talent, he wears our colours with pride, and it would be a fairy tale ending for him to make it back.

Being negative isn’t being smart, its a lack of creativity.

We played four debutants plus two club debutants in an expected tough match with Melbourne in R1. I don't really see we have much to lose by bringing in Farrell or Atley for Robbie for Collingwood. I'd love Frampton but we all know that's not a thing.

Aside from last year we match up well with them, and if the midfield dominates as it did against WCE, we're a chance. Comes down to shutting down Grundy at the tap and De Goey.

He is no slower than rockcliff and can get it as much and has quality disposal. I’d like try him in the middle. Him and rocky can rotate from on the the ball to forward pocket. If it works it’s a major plus for us.
