The 5 unanswered goals North kicked in the last was because we put the cue in the rack with the game won. It happens a lot, with a lot of teams.

AND we didn’t take our chances. We missed some sitters and stuffed some simple plays.

All but one of the vast predictive models have us losing by between 2 and 23 points with around 70% certainty. The one model that doesn't has us winning by 2 with 52% certainty.

I reckon they'll beat us soundly by about 30. Anything less than that and I think it would be considered a reasonable performance. A win would be outstanding.

I won't be upset if Motlop comes in for this one.

Yeah same. Thought he was great in R1 and a borderline match winner in R2. We know he's an inconsistent player but we also know what his best looks like and that's certainly better than anyone else we have to pick from to replace Robbie this week. Back him in and see what happens.

Yeah would definitely be good to have in because he’s the type of player that can come out of nowhere and deliver an x-factor moment that could change the game.
On form doesn’t really deserve it but I would understand if Hinkley wants him in.

Back to Trengove for a moment, does anyone think he may possess the nous to find space in the forward line and slot some goals?

I know it's a bit unconventional but his form and confidence is good.

I like to see players rewarded for their exceptional SANFL form.

I'm all for giving this kid a go. To say he is finished is crazy. If he can take what he's, doing in the Maggie's to the power team then we have a bloody good player. Look at how much better our team is with rocky firing. Rocky is more than capable of slotting goals too like he did in Brisbane. No reason why grengove can't rotate through there

Grengove in! he can get 40 poosessions like Rocky & play the nipsy forward role betterer than Robbie.

Yeah I see this game as a free whack at them. We will probably lose by around 5-10 goals, anything less would be a reasonable outing, especially considering all our injuries. The higher end of that scale and beyond would be disappointing.

I love you guys, lets bring in a guy slutting around half back and play him in a forward role...

One minute you guys are all structure structure structure, then nek minnit lets play a midget in ruck because he deserves a chance and thats the only spot we have.

No. He's a midfielder and that's it. Maybe could work off half back if needed.

My guess is Mayes in for Gray to reward consistent performance.

Big question is will they swap Marshall and Frampton.

Amon a bit unlucky.

pretty much a game of who ever wins the midfield, if Collingwood are dominating in that area they will win and when they dont they can look pretty average, we need to slow there ball movement down and we do that by making it a hard contested game in the midfield and with 1 percenter pressure acts

I think you'll find there's very little overlap between the 'lets bring in Trengove' posters and the 'structure structure structure' posters.

Forever the optimist.

I think we need to be aiming a lot higher than that. They're beatable. Their form heading in to this match is no better than ours.

I hope everyone that says that a 5 goal loss would be an acceptable result is willing to wave their right to melt at the end of the game.

Funny how we have people carrying on that we aren't Port Adelaide anymore, that we've diluted our mission statement and that Ken is a loser in his very being.

Trengove's best chance of getting a game is if two inside mids are injured at the same time, and one of them is Rockliff.

Another option would be to rest each of Rocky, SPP, Wines, Boak, Drew for a week mideason with Trengove plugging the gap.

In both cases though Atley may be first cab off the rank.

On Motlop - he is really the only like for like Robbie replacement who can play forward and mid.

- Amon coming in would likely push S Gray forward, with Amon onto the wing.

- Farrel coming in would likely push Butters/Rozee into 50/50 forward/mid role Robbie has so far this year.

- Frampton coming in would do the same, with Westhoff pushed almost permanently to the wing.

What did those predictors say for the West Coast game out of interest?
