We've played them a few times but If he did you're only strengthening my point that we need Jonas out there...

Someone needs to strengthen whatever point it is you're trying to make because you obviously can't.

Because of the role Robbie plays rotating between the forward line and midfield he will be hard to replace, so we’ll be looking to replace him in one of those roles and adjust around the ground.

Any of Amon, Frampton, Atley, or even Trengove would be a chance I think. Could even just bring in Jonas and shuffle Burton up the ground.

My preference in order would be: Frampton, Atley, Farrell, Trengove then Amon.

Frampton would cover Robbie’s work as a marking forward the best, and would prepare us for Dixon as Janus pointed out.

Atley would allow Drew to move into Robbie’s role up forward, while giving us some extra oomph at stoppages which we would otherwise be missing.

Farrell is the best forward of those I named, I think he is too small but we would probably give more midfield time to Rozee and Drew in that case.

Trengove for the same reasons as Atley, and as a reward for his very good form which could have him ahead of some of the others honestly.

Amon I think is the best player of the lot, but he doesn’t replace anything that Robbie brings meaning we would get weaker at stoppages and up forward. Might be fine, but I’d be hesitant to risk it.

Indoor stadium might tempt the coaches to go with Frampton and use Marshall more as a high half forward. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

The most obvious like for like is Mots for Gray. Farrel also in the mix.

In; Motlop/Farrel, Amon, Jonas
OUt: Gray, Drew, Lienert

The depth is encouraging - long term injuries to Dixon, Watts, Hartlett and Gray but we are still putting a good team on the park. I’m really hoping Dixon gets back for the second half of the year and in some form. He cops a lot of unfair criticism on here and we miss his power and intimidatory presence. In his absence, and given Robbie is an out, and having watched Marshall consistently bodied off the ball, i would like to see Frampton given a go. We are missing that bad assed forward that can split a pack, take a mark, or just generally create some physical havoc in an oppositions defence

Motlop ain't coming in. If he does, we are more ****ed than we know.

Ken was at the game yesterday, he would have saw what I saw and I didn't see Motlop do anything to warrant a call back.

We managed to restrict brown quite well. And I’d rate him as significantly better than Cox

Brown doesn't have a supporting unit of Mihocek, De Goey and Stephenson and rotating players like Adam's.

if motlop is in then id be playing him as a very deep forward, forward pressure and the skill to kick a few is better than a vanilla game as a high half forward

i wouldnt mind seeing Frampton play mainly because Collingwood have some great medium size intercept half backs that need someone like Frampton to run through them and bring the ball to ground, also because it will give Marshall more of an opportunity

Cox dominates everyone when he’s on. I reckon we can handle him as well as any other side right now.

Dougal, Clurey and Jonas are all pretty good in the air. And Clurey is coming off giving Brown an absolute bath.

Don't know about your guys, but I'd just go with Sam Gray one out in the forward 50. He's got the smarts to give Roughead & Moore the run around.

Rozee to put Butters on his shoulders and they can play on Cox.

Wouldn’t be changing too much.

R.Gray out due to injury.
Amon in for that outside run and butters moving more into a small forward role or Farrell in as a pressure forward.

Jonas for Lienert, if fit but wouldn’t be rushing him at all.

But we know Motlop is coming in. I would like him to play some more SANFL. Also Frampton, Ladhams, Broadbent, etc can all spend more time in the SANFL building fitness, form and consistency

People calling for Todd Marshall to be dropped remind me of those "old hat yesterdays" at the footy that continually yell "just kick the bloody thing!" regardless of whether there are players in a position to receive it.

I have 3 or 4 that sit behind me that do it for alot of the game. It's quite frustrating.

I'm close to turning around and educating them, but have so far held my nerve.

The game has changed, many supporters don't understand it.
