Fair call. Amon can kick goals and will contribute around the ground. Looked to be in decent form before getting injured.

Good, and Motlop las emergency. Hopefully Mots tears it apart next SANFL game.

Amon in over Motlop is a huge call and the right one I reckon. It would have been way too easy to bring Motlop back in this week with Gray's injury. It's soo good to see Amon has taken his game to another level and put himself in a position to demand selection over Motlop. This is the kind of stuff that keeps competition for spots fierce and encourages the younger players. Happy to see Drew's AFL stint keeps on keeping on.

I think the deciding factor was that Amon looks to have had more link up play

9 marks (v 1), 6 inside 50s (v 1), 8 Handball receives (v 9).

Note: CD runs with another stat called LM which i assume is a long mark.

I know motlops been **** but he's put together a couple of decent games and you just knew he was going to fire against pies in Melbourne.. as a replacement for Gray and that X factor he was it. Hopefully Amon can work magic

"Decent" games aren't good enough. He should be tearing it apart in the SANFL before he comes back into the side.

I watched him live at The Parade and he got a lot of it but wasn't damaging at all. From all reports, he only got involved late in the game last week when it was done and dusted. Hardly knocking down the door for selection.

We have all been so critical of Ken for selecting names over form in the past, so Amon more than deserves his spot back in the team over Mots.

I feel a lot better with Amon in. When he and Watts was in our field kicking looked sooo much better. Losing the both of them took away a lot of our drive from defense because a good kick is as good as a quick player. Well done Karl. You've come a long way. If we didn't reward him he would have been a flight risk because other clubs will start seeing his good qualities.

Amon's two way running was quite damaging in the first game. He was able to burn opponents with his sheer work rate. One of the hardest runners at the club and looks like he is going to model his game on players like Travis Boak. Make no mistake. Amon is ahead of Motlop at this stage. Motlop is luxury while Amon is a work horse.

Happy with Amon in. He was great before injury and very good in the sanfl coming back from injury. I would have been ok with Motlop in because I think he would lift for the big game but I'm glad they're making him earn his spot back

1 is Motlop. Should know the others around 6pm.

I'm hoping the other 3 are Ladhams, Frampton and Farrell.

Hopefully Frampton. Would be nice to know he's being noticed.

Karl Amon seems the right choice, something I never thought I'd have said in previous years. But he was a motivated and hard working player at AFL level at the start of the year and so IMO clearly preferable to Motlop..

Will be nice if he ends up ahead of Polly too

Kens gold passes. Are they gone?

What a greatbdecision not to bring back motlop. Hes done nothing in the 2s to demand selection.

For Ken he could have made the easy decision and said were goin with motters due to his experience n x favtor blah blah but hes made a rave decision by not selecting him..didnt matter who he brought in, just not motlop, not yet. Doesnt send the right message to the rest of the group.

Kudos Kenjamin Hinkleberry.

Until he puts together a good decent block of consistent performances i'm not really prepared to gush over the inclusion of Amon.

He had a couple solid JLT games + Round 1 and then got injured and suddenly he has gone from the delist/garbage pile to a very handy inclusion.

He was never as bad as he was made out to be last year but at the same token the jury is still out for me on whether he has actually become a legitimate best 22 AFL player.
