Footscray having a bye makes it a little straight forward. McLean would be a chance otherwise. I'd prefer Bruce in over Sweet if he was able to second ruck but can't see that being the case so soon after his return. Hunter to return via VFL.

Actually think dropping Sweet would be ideal for us, even though we are facing Gawn and Jackson, he's essentially bringing us down to 3 rotations on the bench and playing Melbourne after an Alice Springs game should be an opportunity to try and run them off their feet.

Need to just back in Bruce to find his form I think, more for next years sake to be honest. Doesn’t look remotely capable of rucking right now though so that’s definitely not an option.

If we want more around the ground than Sweet play Darcy, that’s literally the only option.

Hunter doesn’t deserve to walk back in from Covid. If we give Hannan the task on Fritsch I’ll spew, can write the game off at bounce 1 if we go down that route, straight swap for McLean or Daniel if ready.

Huge boost. I’m not a big fan of having no decent second ruck but with Bruce and Khamis in this week, Gawn struggling and the Dees off a short break from Darwin... It makes the most sense to plan to run them off their feet.

Williams has been pretty atrocious all season. Slightly better at wing but still not great. How many more credits does he have in the bank?

To be honest I'd like Hannan, Williams and Sweet out of the side.
Would like Schache and Naughton back. I can see the value in keeping Bruce to get him up to speed but he was pretty bad on the weekend.

I don't think we have enough backmen available at the moment. People say we are stocked with attacking half backers but really we only have 3 AFL quality ones on the list and as soon as one is out, our drive is severely depleted. Being forced to play Hannan and Treloar back there shows our lack of depth in the area.

I tried to do a team but I just couldn't get it to fit so I gave up... selection will be very interesting this week. Lots of different ways we could go.

It's going to be an incredibly interesting to see what the MC does with the backup ruck role. You have to assume to Sweet will be dropped for Naughton leaving Astro, Bruce & JUH as our 3 tall forwards. I'm not comfortable with any of those 3 rucking. Do we 'rest' Bruce after 2 games in 5 days and play a Sweet, Darcy or Schache in that role?

My biggest concern will be Bevo bringing in Naughts for Sweet and having Dunks take the backup ruck responsibilities.

Brucey going to have to play second ruck, or he is going to be need to be rested if he is not up to it this week. Jamarra and Naughts can't ruck, and not a fan of swapping out defenders (maybe Khamis). I reckon Williams might have to go this week, unless he returns to the backline in place of Hannan. As others have said it could go a multitude of ways, and knowing Bevo, will probably go a way none of us have expected.

I can't see too many changes this week.

Calls for Hannan to be dropped won't happen. Hannan will only get dropped for one of dureya or daniel. Bevo looks determined to try this hannan-defender experiment.

Only changes I see will be:

It was either garcia or mcneil, and I thought garcia was more involved/damaging, so he keeps his spot.

Schache, whilst not a ruckman, gives us more flexibility.
