We need a backup ruckman, it could be Lewy or sweety. We can't use bruuuuuce, he's 2nd in the Coleman. It's a waste of resource.

I'd rather see Buku down back or go in a left field direction Schache(a la Bailey Dale) , or Timmy down back and sweety in.
Or as an emergency Astro down back.

Playing Melbourne instead of Crows may work for us in the longer run as they won't get an early look at anywhere near our finals team. If we do end up playing them this week, just a few tweaks from the team that played last time.
Timmy in the ruck (Martin unlikely to be ready you'd expect) is different to last time and Dunks back also. That should go some way to shoring up the holes and quick exits around clearances and stoppages but without Treloar and Martin is still some way short of our preferred set up.
Wood unlikely also so Croz lucky
So Libba in for R Smith might be the only change.

Jeez if we do play the Dees it could be a tale of 2 defences.
The sleek Dees have the #1 ranked defence in the league conceding just 66 points a game.
By comparison, we are sadly ranked #2 and concede a whopping 67 points a game. No way we cover that chasm No wonder so many here reckon most of them should be dropped, what a pack of slapstick, incompetent hacks

Would be pretty unlucky to play the Dees this week if Wood and Martin are still a week away.
Are the flipping the fixtures due to the belief restrictions will be lifted by Round 20? If so that seems quite ambitious

Both will need a couple of weeks in the VFL and neither have strung together more than one or two games in a row for months. Those guys main goal will be to build conditioning for a finals run. Don’t think we would see either at AFL level for a few weeks.

Like Melbourne has a home crowd that would give any sort of advantage at all.
They let Port fly in and out this week. So why would they not let the Crows?

Interesting they may bring the Melbourne game forward would think they would get games between teams that are yet to meet this year out of the way first so everyone has at least played every other team. For us that is crows, bombers and hawks.
Also pretty stupid we have 5 rounds to go and haven’t played 3 teams, yet have doubled up against 3 teams already.

Yeah not sure why they wouldn’t have scheduled it like the old days where you play everyone once first before playing second games just in case a situation occurs where rounds are missed.
But its the AFL and its been run inadequately for years and should come as no surprise.

At least three times Richard flew for a punch and not only missed the punch but took out our defender in a good position. His effort is not questioned and he did some good things that Crozier didn’t but the system isn’t working. Even Dale is in a different position and not taking marks.
I would play Young because I am concerned that coming into the finals every team will know that if they can take Keath out of the play then they will have a field day in the air - would bring him in for Crozier or Richards and move Cordy to third tall where he is better.
Other option is Khamis for Crozier - we have no intercept marking without Wood and Crozier out of form in the air. Khamis is smaller but like Wood gives us a more attacking defence
Best 22 attacking defence is looking ok:” and better against teams with two talls two kids and two smalls (Richmond, Sydney, Freo)
