Interesting selections, they would not have been mine, but the coaches know a lot more than me. They don't seem to think Barrass is up to it yet, Lynch (GC) did beat him but I still think Barrass was serviceable and will be a good player but they are obviously concerned with right now and think Nelson offers more although he is only medium height. Simmo really likes to pour on pressure through the midfield through heaps of numbers. Yeo will probably be mainly back, I wonder what the plan is for next week?

Redpath is 194 cm, 100kg though. They might play him as a ruckman and play Campbell (200 cm, 106 kg) as a key forward.

I reckon they're going to withdraw Cripps and bring in Barrass on the day.

If Redpath plays ruck we will dominate every clearance and the ball won't get near our backline.

While I agree, I think Simmo has his plan and is sticking to it. We don't want it to get the stage of being too cute with our selections but for now I'll buy in.

And as Simmo has proven this year, tall backmen are overrated.

I think I Know why Barrass isn't in favour. He simply isn't ready. Got sort of lucky in his last game for us to not be found out. You can see his inexperience and that he hasn't got the field of vision you need to play AFL. he can't work out his decision making quickly enough when his got the ball and that cost us as teams zones are very quick these days. That will come but not this year. Don't want to burn his confidence so early. Learn it in the WAFL for the rest of the year.

Although against Crows we might be in a bit of trouble if our mids don't work hard enough.

A bit of this definitely. Simmo must be confident that either Schoey or McGovern are back next week though, surely... otherwise given its an EP bye, better to get the extra game in him
