Simmo might have some issue with Barrassment like he did with Bennell last year. If he is not ready for AFL why did he play him vs GC & Sydney? Less important games or no dangerous opposition talls?
Funny how we went from playing up to 4 tall defenders in the last 2 years to no tall defenders at all.

Given the land of the giants turned out to be a putrid strategy, I'd say its more logical than funny

Surprized, I am, but very excited that Muzza is in. Really looking forward to seeing him in action on Sunday, and I hope he is not the sub - leave that to Ginners as he is the expert in that now.
I am looking forward to this game even more now - it will be fast, no doubt.

The is ridiculous. What the hell does Lucas have to do to get a game?! Solid, consistent WAFL form all year and should have been the hard running obvious replacement for Masten. If he isn't playing this week, he won't play this season. Didn't realize he got caught vandalizing Simmo's car.

Next... what exactly has Newman done to get a game? Played 'decent' last week, one decent game. He's kicked 1 goal in his last SIX WAFL appearances for godsake, playing as a small forward and flanker. Certainly nothing worth deserving of a promotion to the senior team.

"Oh but he'll be a good sub..." <---- Which means Mcginnity WON'T be the sub, which is bad news in itself right there, it's what he excels at.

And finally onto Barass.. "Simmo didn't play him last week and it was all good " That's because Schofield wasn't OUT last week FFS.

I mean who's our full back exactly? Jamie Bennell? Another 'Yeo to the backline' order with extra fries coming up, great

He deserves it. Needs to get given a crack. I've said from day one he'd make a good sub, but that spot should be 'perma Mcginnity' so i'd like to see what he can do with a full game. Even Colledge finally got given a go after performing consistently in the WAFL, and Lucas has ticked those boxes.

If the club made a mistake picking him up that's fair enough, but they need more than just a WAFL season as sample size.

Barrass being left out is worrying. It's taking the piss is what it is. Shows a lack of respect for their forward line.

He did have 5 years at Carlton prior to this uninterrupted season for him. For mature age prospects like Lucas I think a year is plenty.

I've only just seen the changes. Bizarre to say the least. I know the Bullies dont have a large forward line (Redpath 194 and Stringer 192) But we haven't got a guy over 190 for the defence. You wonder how Barrass feels being left out when we have this many injured KPDs too. If he isn't playing now then he probably wont break into the team again for a while. Must be a little demoralising.

Newman shouldn't have been selected. Unless they plan on taking Cripps out late. I'm not the biggest Lucas fan but like Dark Sharks said he is almost a perfect replacement for Masten. Makes you wonder why they recruited him.

He's more athletic than Dalziell. But I think the logic holds true. They are scared of Lucas turning the ball over in the midfield. Nelson will get less possessions and he will generally hit up a target.

In my head that's the late change i see happening. Newman starts for Cripps, which hurts as Crippa is vital.

Barrass should have been in from the start, but perhaps it's weather/mind games related?
