Its a good looking side after the break wouldn't mind us dropping Butler for a Rosa.

That releases Yeo to midfield full time.

Also wouldn't mind us bringing in Barass for a Butler id we decide we need extra height.

With you on both counts. Time to test Barrass to see if he is up to it and then take a view as to where our tall stocks lie before year end.

Same. He also had half a brain not to let the cheating scum ****s inject him with illegal substances.
Although he does tend to play really well against us so lets hope he has an off day.
Wasn't he the one who was scared of needles and wasn't injected with shit?

The on paper changes we all expected.

I'd put Selwood as sub, but since that is unlikely to happen - Cripps wouldn't be a bad idea.
If Cripps starts as sub I'll fly over there and kick Simmos arse.

**** I hate the sub rule. It is so anti Aussie rules. Goes against everything a footy club is about.

Players hate it too, no idea which clown rates it.

Probally the love child of Kevin Bartlett. Thank **** that clown has pissed off into irrelevance.

Am I the only one worried about Essendon not naming a ruck? I have a funny feeling they won't play Carlisle there for long, and they'll use someone like Heppell in the role to give them basically an extra contested mid, since they knew they'd lose the hit-outs to advantage count anyway with Bellchambers' form. We saw with Sandilands how a midfield can be nullified despite getting it palmed down to them a (record) number of times, and our midfield is weaker and has been in form for far less long than Freo's - we'll still dominate at bouncedowns but I wouldn't be so sure around the ground.

Luckily Naitanui is like a contested mid anyway but still, I feel like I'd rather see Naita dominate an out of form ruckman with no advantage over him than a makeshift ruckman with strengths NN doesn't have.

Given the guy has never been in a legitimate contest, he could probably play until he's 50.

Nelson being dropped is no more a sign of him simply being a first year player than anything else. He has been impressive, but there are people ahead of him. He'll get his time again.

You don't watch games very closely then. Seen Butler take a big hit backing into a pack / leading forward on multiple occasions. He tackles as well as anyone down back and put the body on the line when it's his turn.

Pretty p!ss poor comment actually.

Maybe you are confused / thinking about Bennell? He plays the smaller outside rebounding defender role.

To be fair, they could be brothers. Both being brunettes and all.

Also, I see your point, and raise you your point.

Touché, sir.

If Scooter is the sub i will dance the Charleston.

Because that means the man, the myth, the legend, the rock, the hard place... YAYO will be playing on ball :)
He needs to play Midfield and rest forward,Without Yeo in the middle we have no Midfield, Scooter is a serious liability to the team at the moment !

Another little challenge for Natanui. Everyone is expecting a great game. Has to stamp his influence on the game.EXPECTATION! 40 hit outs, 18 disposals, 6 tackles and drum roll....6 marks! I called it.

The backline is still of great interest to me. I've only seen us live once this year so haven't had a great look but enjoying watching how they go about it. Hoping Ellis gives us a reminder early about his ball skills, should slot in seamlessly. Wondering if Nelson will be just getting the odd game from here on out or is the next man in

Wouldn't be surprised if Ellis and Nelson swapped places next week again. Gives Nelson a week off and stops Ellis from a 6 day break and flights.

I really, really want to smash this mob.

Naitanui doesn't bother going for the tap, just jumps, grabs the ball, runs over Heppell and passes to an accelerating Yeo. I can work with that.

And risk a knee and 12 broken ribs? I dont think so. I think theyll try expose naita by carlisle running hard forward and being an option. He was great as a defender and swingwing forward but a dud permanent forward so far. Nic doesnt follow too far into defence and could be an issue. Though my hope is that the issue for drugs will be getting the ball forward at all so we wont have anything to worry about

Zaka is hardly going to say he was suspicious and thought it was a stupid idea now is he...wait for the tell all book post retirement ;)

We have got to come out firing. These flogs will be desperate for a win like Norf were last week. If we give them a sniff they will fight hard.

Tipping NN to have one of those games that makes me want to touch myself.

We have an opportunity to set up for long hit outs to advantage. I'll be very disappointed if NN taps the ball straight down at centre clearances. Clearly, Essendon are trying expose NN around the ground. We must take full advantage at ruck contests or this is every chance of happening.

Get ready to remain dance-less.
