S Selwood was horrible, needs to go back and get match fit and work on his skill, Sheed was a poor sub and thought Butler and Nelson at times were pretty bad.

The main thing here is skills and Selwood just hasn't got it.

Darling Ellis College IN
McInnes Butler S Selwood out

Nelson and Hill I will give him them another go as they have the form of previous games on their side.
Sheed is lucky.
I just can't believe the number of people calling for Butler's head when he has been among the best players week after week and pretty well provides the run from the backline. He is a skilled and intelligent footballer and is valuable in a young side.

Your comments are just embarrassing. I assume you post on here as your family and friends just don't want to hear it anymore.
Just because you do that doesn't mean anyone else does

Does a player just have to play WAFL for you to demand elevation to AFL? He is almost on the de-list pile - is not playing anywhere near as high an impact as required. He just blends in with the WAFL crowd.

You do realize that our recruiters rated him sufficiently high in 2011 to select him over Yeo, right? By all accounts, Newman is one of the more talented players on our list and you want him delisted? Shepherd spent 6 years on our list before he started showing something. We should not delist Newman unless there is another disciplinary issue. He just got back from injury and I think he kicked 4.2 before injuring his hand. By the way, what do you mean by the WAFL crowd? In a squad of 40 odd there will always be players who are playing to WAFL because somebody else in their position is doing a better job and that does not mean that they are all on the delist pile as you say.

Did you watch East Perth's game, Muzz was very useful up front and coming after a quiet game from our two usually reliable small forwards, it isn't a long bow.

Not a fan of bringing in Ellis for 3 qtrs. Delist

Out: McInnes, Selwood
In: Darling, Rosa

Sub: Rosa

Will be interesting to see if Darling gets in, as good as he is do we really want more under done players? Another week in the WAFL maby in the midfeild may be better

Not sure if this is some sarcastic response to a previous post or you genuinly think this, outside of Darling he'd be the next closest to selection, was unanimous best on for the Royals yesterday and has AFL level class.

I think Sheed didn't really adjust to the wind.

Dropping him would be a bad idea anyway. He needs more gametime not less
Yeah, he came on after two weeks off into a game played in cyclonic winds. Everyone else had three quarters to adjust to the conditions before he came on, and many didn't manage it in that amount of time!

Out -
Nelson ( unlucky )
Sheed ( learn to stop kicking blind sky balls )

In -
darling
Ellis
McInnes and Sinclair to both spend time back . We will need KPD back up this year and we may as well use them for extended periods before the end of the season .
Also allows yeo to NOT play back .

Some people have short memories.. Sheeds form was very good before he went out. His ball use has generally been good.

Apart from those couple of kicks he was very good. Tackled well and had good hands in close. Reward form and make Selwood play well to take it off him.

Surprised Sheed is copping so much. He played one quarter and had little time to adjust to conditions. Hardly deserves to be dropped.
Could not agree any more with these posts. Is Selwood best 22 any more?

I personally don't think he is but I would be surprised to see him dropped. Not if they stick with 2 inside mids which I think has worked well. He just isn't versatile enough.

The biggest thing to come out of Selwood returning is the drop in centre bounce attendances from Yeo. Sheed at least spends time at half forward. Him rotating with Yeo was working very well.

Actually he played well yesterday and certainly brings some energy and skill to the team but although he's still not ready I don't think he is miles away. Played at least as well as Selwood.
Are we going to drop Hill or LeCras who have been 2 of our best players this year on a less than ideal performance (neither were terrible)? No way. And no way we should. And we certainly shouldn't be doing it on the back of an ok game from a rookie list player coming back from injury.

I hope Newman builds a case over half a season for East Perth so we have to pick him, but I doubt he'll get looked at before that.

Regardless of a couple of clangers, Sheed won more of the ball in one quarter of football than Selwood could for a whole freakin game. I never thought that Selwood was an awful player, but that is a McGinnity level of uselessness. Serious questions to be asked if we play him again next week after this passenger performance

IN: Ellis
OUT: Selwood

I don't think it's worth playing scooter at AFL level, Let him find form in the WAFL. Similarly, I wouldn't bring Darling back until after the bye, that's just a knee jerk, and Frase is holding his own right now.

I'd chuck Ellis up back, enabling Yeo to play middle. Nelson sub for mine.

One close loss and all our players are spuds again. Some young players played shit, some lacking a lot in terms of recent gametime were shit.

Hill really doesn't do enough when the game is not on our terms. Shame cause he has class.

If Darling was fit I'd be tempted to drop Hill for Darling.

No way can you play masten, gaff, sheed and duggan - thats 4 wingers for 2 wings.

We need more strength over the ball, bring in College for Sheed as he is a poor kick (cf. Duggan), Darling and Ellis to come back after the bye
