It is better this way. Chopper has been off all season; I am sure he has carried the injury.
Walters, I reckon he has bluffed the selectors about his ankle. Really shouldn't have played against Hawks. He appeared to hurt it against Gold Coast.

But a half fit Walters is better than the alternatives.

You know what I think they may have no choice but to play Simpson. Running out of options

The benefit like last year, is we will have lots of players coming back in the second half of the season. But with this hard run of games we have to be careful not to drop too far behind

Got some challenges.

Full assessment tomorrow. Lyon just got off the plane at 3pm.
Mayne and Walters look to have significant ankles.
Mayne probably better shape than Walters.
Need to work through what happens.

Ibbotson may not need an operation. Will assess.

No dummy. I was talking about people jumping to conclusions that Mayne and Walters were definite outs, despite my understanding of what Lyon said in the interview posted on here. (I will admit to not having listened to it).

Reckon Mayne and Walters still might get up. There's a fair break from Friday to Sunday. 9 days recovery. Ankles from my understanding can get better pretty quick. I'm no doc and I suppose it depends on severity. But fingers crossed because both are such important players. I'm not confident about this game. But if we lose it's not the end of the world. We'll be 2 and 2. But then we got Sydney at SCG. F...n nell!

Always has me thinking about spending hours on tonight's menu when you don't do the grocery shopping 'til tomorrow.

Rolled and sprained ankles can be as bad as breaks at the bad end but I'm,hopeful.I did think Sonny didn't look right from the start on Friday but I'm sure they won't risk worsening anything long term.I also don't remember Ibbo going in without his shoulders strapped for ages?Maybe my brain's finally given up and I'm hallucinating but he's been strapped up for yonks.

To me it suggests that neale handballs more than suban but gets more of the ball. Despite having a third of the games experience.

While Neale gets the ball more his kicking lets him down, and Suban has higher kick to handball ratio yet had a better rate at hitting targets.

Suban is quickly, stronger, longer kicks and tackles stick.

I really hope we are competitive this week. Last Friday was embarrassing tbh.

I've heard on the radio this morning (6pr - i know its not really reliable), people are pretty confident that Walters is out this week, Although someone called "Docker Down" said on the 6pr rumorfile that "I have it on good authority that Walters needs surgery and may miss most of the 2014 season". Basil didn't believe him but i freaking hope its not true!

I wonder if this is a flair up from his PCL injury he had looked at in the offseason.
A real shame if true, i hope he can be managed through whatever he has. Would prefer 4-6 weeks out now and be ready for the 2nd half than try and play through it and cause more damage.

The boys will get a good rev up from Ross and a couple of the senior players and I'm confident they will come out hard this week and make a statement. Obviously some big losses but we've got some good ins to come back. Dawson, Clarke, Pearce, Sylvia, Taberner. I would back Crozier in to cover Walters.

Were'nt we two and two after 4 rounds last season losing to the Hawks and Essendon and then drawing with Sydney in Sydney.

I believe we can beat them but we will be the tester bunnies for their new forward line. And typically they have just started to find form
