Simpson, who the club took with pick 16 in the 2012 National Draft, made his debut in round 23 last season in a game that saw a host of regulars rested ahead of the finals.

The 20-year-old midfielder has been in strong form at WAFL level for the Thunder this season, showcasing a solid defensive game to complement his undoubted skills.

There's that little bit of selection magic you were chasing salim malik .

And Tabs as well!

I like how Sylvia isn't getting a game yet because when he does get the call he'll make sure he plays 110%

Pumped to see Simpson get a run and my boy Claaanceee is back!

Wow... did not see that coming!!

Am absolutely stoked for Josh, he might be that X-Factor we need.

Can't help but think RTB is going on pure form here... Josh is doing a little more in WAFL at the moment and Sylvia simply needs to earn his place in the side.

Sheridan has amassed a grand total of 26 possessions in 3 games; he hasn't been completely woeful but logic says he needs to step up. Reckon Suban would be on his absolute last chance as well to prove his worth.

Bit iffy on Taberner though; shows spirit but had ample opportunities last year and stalled. Only hope he can be our new success story for 2014...

Up for an interesting match.

How has tabs been going in the WAFL? Every game he has played at afl level he has struggled.

Pretty well from what I've seen on TV. Contested marking has improved, is stronger. Fitness is getting back up there. A little more aggressive than last year as well.

Not tearing it up by any means, but looking better. Two of the four games he played at AFL level were floggings against the Cats and Saints (round 23), and the other two he was a key forward without the benefit of Pav's presence. In fact he's never played in the same team as Pav (at AFL level anyway). Between Tabs and Clarke at least we've got options as a marking threat to keep the Dons from triple teaming Pav.

Though I reckon Tabs leading out to the wing a la the mighty Kep, with Pav and Clarke taking turns playing deeper could be a structure worth trying.

EDIT: Oops. Forgot Tabs played with Pav in round 23 last year.

Ample opportunities in the rain, whenever the weather cleared we'd leave him out.
Would like to see him get a few games in a row now, getting him on the lead as a high half forward, not in the goalsquare kicking it on his head.

I'm quite excited to see Pav, Ballas, Crozier, Clarke, Sandi, Simpson, tabs rotate through that forward line !!! Plenty of options for the first time.

Don't forget tabs was usually pavs replacement. Sunday he will be another Target !!
