Forecast is 32 and sunny. Hopefully this suits us a lot more than them.

We can only hope.

It'll be interesting to see who RTB has rucking against the Essendon non-rucks(Carlisle-Daniher)

Maybe keep sandi resting forward until it cools down a little then unleash him when the bomber mids are fatiguing in the second half.

Our ruck dominance is going to be a major factor in upsetting the bombers,I hope.

Hope everyone has realistic expectations of Simpson's upcoming game. Hes a second year player playing his second game, I'd be highly surprised if he does much. Gonna cop it big time here, but I can't see Taberner doing anything. He needs to take a defender away from Pavlich, but the defenders aren't going to be worried about a skinny unproven forward. Not having a go at Tabs, but he'll get out muscled with ease.

Relax. I doubt Tabs will play.

Yeah hasn't showed it at WAFL level yet (confidence) but his U/18 tapes show him as a terrific contested mark. Mind you his size at his age gives him a distinct advantage in that age group. Nevertheless he knows how to clunk a mark.

I like him a lot.

Bit early to make that call donchyathink?

I would say that he is more than capable in the air considering his size and has a very good kick on him albeit lacking penetration also owing to his size at this stage.

The kid has a bit of X factor around the goals as well.

You would have seen it when you were sitting on the bench (you may have even made the call ;) ) but at one stage against EP he was standing the resting Eagles ruckman, (Sinclair or the other oaf) and gave him at least 40cm, and the lad did very well.

Apparently there is medication available for your condition.

How about that champ* Silvagni lining up for Peel, huh?

*not really.
We over the years have had many similar players Timmy Ruffles and Josh Mellington spring to mind they at the same age had more talent but the body just couldn't cope with AFL footy .
Ballard IMHO is the right shape ,build and is developing quicker .
I understand where you are coming from as its his first year and he is still a kid .
Don't get me wrong I would love the kid to make it .I just want to see him progress and build faster .

Silvagni must still be on the outer due to fitness concerns . He did have an interrupted pre season and last week tight Hammy .
He must be close but in RTB's mind he needs to prove his fitness before they will risk him in the main game .

Like Marcus Drum did against Adelaide back in 07?

Sylvia did some nice things for Peel but he did fade out of the game into the 3rd quarter
Maybe needs a bit more fitness
Sylvia isn't inconsistent because of his fitness.

I wish him luck, but it's a finger that has never been pulled that is causing him issues.
