We are ****ed without them. Watch us drop one or two of the 3.

On talking footy tonight Ken hinted .. Cam O'Shea & Tom Clurey might be in the mix next game

Carlile for Clurey is a no-brainer. I'd like to see O'Shea in too, but I just hope he isn't being looked at as a direct replacement for Trengove. Westhoff is the only guy we have who is capable of replacing Trengove, which means we need to be looking at replacing Trengove with a tall forward to fill Westhoff's role while Westhoff fills Trengove's role. I'd still like to see O'Shea brought in for a small like Impey/SGray/Mitchell to go down back and help compensate for the inevitable lack of height with his ability as a third man up, but he is not a direct replacement for Trengove's role in our side whatsoever.

3 weeks for Bobby and Jacko :(

So they should be gone for the Essendon, Richmond and Melbourne games (which we should win all 3 without them)

Then they are back for the big Collingwood clash.
As long as they are back for the Pies game we should be able to do without. We won't do as well obviously as we would with them, but it's the least bad time it could happen.

Essendon first up, Gus should be tapped to start the mind games. ASADA is obviously a distraction for him and the Dons, get him in the media saying it is, how all those players at the club then are obviously concerned, etc. etc. Put them off their game.

I've got a lot of faith in Hombsch to take on the No.1 KPF for the next 3 weeks.

O'Shea/Jonas/Clurey can take the 2nd and 3rd talls.

Out: Trengrove (inj), Carlile (inj), S.Gray, K.Mitchell
In: Clurey, O'Shea, Shaw/Butcher, Newton/Young/Logan/Cassisi

Clurey for the lockdown job that Carlile normally does. Has the tank to push into the midfield as a massive wild card option.

O'Shea for the intercept marks, ability to go third up, cover for other backs and ability to push into the midfield - in the come from behind showdown win last year Hinkley spoke about deciding between Trengrove into the ruck and O'Shea into the midfield.

Shaw/Butcher as the other tall forward to release Westhoff and bring the ball to ground for the crumbers. Could also push into the ruck or defense at a pinch. I would pick Shaw on form and as he is the better goal kicker - his return this weekend was impressive considering the conditions. Butcher is out of form but I could understand them picking him. Either way they will need to be persisted with for a number of weeks to build confidence, form and allow the team to adjust.

Another strong inside option. Newton is in cracking form and looks a cut above SANFL at the moment, however if he plays I don't think he should be sub - he needs a whole game. Youngy is in a similar boat. Logan and Cassisi would be for experience as they are behind the aforementioned two on skills and fitness now.

What about Impey as sub?

Trengove and Carlile are two obvious outs and Sammy Gray is just not AFL standard yet. The one big quarter he had is pretty much his entire achievement. Clurey, O'Shea and Young must come in. Cassisi I won't include yet as I'm not sure of his fitness but he could be a replacement for Mitchell. An extra tall such as Butcher, or possibly Shaw could be brought in to release Westhoff to a defensive position. Although Shaw has not had many games since coming back from his latest injury and I doubt if he would be considered.

Yep, Clurey in for Carlile, Westhoff permanently back to replace Trengove, and wait for it....BOTH Shaw and Butcher in at the same time! Woah!

So the team would structure like this:

B: Jonas, Hombsch, Clurey
HB: Broadbent, Westhoff, Pittard
C: Polec, Cornes, Ebert
HF: Gray, Butcher, Monfries
F: Shaw, Schulz, Wingard

R: Lobbe, Boak, Wines

I/C: White, Impey, Cassisi

SUB: Young

wouldnt be surprised if westhoff does a lot of rucking against Ryder amd Lobbe spends time at FF.

They will probably bring back bellchambers against us and really stretch us

Picked exactly the team I'd like to see.

As an aside western royboy on another thread made mention that Ken Hinkley hasn't shown his hand yet with how good he is with lateral thinking/out of left field moves. I said that there hadn't been the need as of yet. But with this new injury crisis, we do have the need now. We could see a totally unexpected lineup and solution to this problem yet.

Andre = lynda loades :p

In: O'shea, Shaw/Butch, Clurey, Young
Out: S.Gray, Trengove, Carlile, Mitchell

Need to will and should, the good teams don't drop 2 in a row and as KH says we are structure based, not personnel based. Look at the Hawks, point in case.
