I don't mind him dropping Turner, but he shouldn't have played last week. You can't expect players to be back in form because they go back and dominate one game of VFL. Yes you have to reward good form, but he should have had two-three weeks of backing it up first. That builds him a larger base of confidence and consistency. Bad coaches get sucked into these alluring 'responses' and quickly try to rush them back to fix or cover up their problems, because they're sucked in by the easy solution

In short, if you're out of form. Do a stretch in the VFL don't make them go up and down like a yoyo. ****s the player, ****s the team.

Now if i may focus on the main problem beyond this one, drop players that need to go back and find form in the first ****ing place rather than holding them in because you're to afraid to drop your good players because you're betting on them to dig you out... or in Goodwin's case, you're backing in your mates instead of making reasonable selections

• Can't execute the fundamental skill of football (kicking)
• Lowest scoring team in the AFL
• Play dour, defensive football

Orlando

• Can't execute the fundamental skill of basketball (shooting)
• One of the lowest scoring teams in the NBA
• Play dour, defensive basketball (still much more entertaining than Melbourne though)

The arrogance of Goodwin is pathetic, no statements at all with selection, backing the same bunch of blokes to get the job done. Fritch and Spargo should be the first to be dropped. No back up for Max again. Ho hum nothing to see here

How do you go from a 3 tall foward set up then within a month go with a mosquito fleet? Does Goodwin actually know what he wants the game to look like? They require totally different styles of play.
