Reckon there'll be two or three; obviously Green's injury will force him out. Don't think Bennell will survive, personally.

I'm going with those two out (would be three pending SME's fitness, ousting Sellar).

In: Petterd, Couch
Out: Green (inj.), Bennell

What do you guys think?

Couch is one who should be given go, Moloney should be dropped

I think Dunn will stay in the team. Makes a contest out of nothing and gets the ball to ground. Should stick with Moloney also I feel.

Bennell and Seller out for me.

Wonder if Adelaide want to offload any more duds to us at years end. Meesen was bad enough, what exactly did our 'brain trust' see in Sellar? Nick Smith M2k? The casual observer would do a better job than our player management team. So ****ing dumb

I want Petterd back in. Had a shocker against Hawthorn but let him prove himself, if nothing else to get some value out of him come trade time. Martin for Sellar. Any chance Sylvia back in? Know his performance against Sydney was disgraceful but can't afford to have crap players like Bennell taking up space any longer.

Moloney - **** off

I really hope we don't lose by 100 again. Best we can hope for, what a joke

For me

In: Petterd, Martin, Sylvia, Bate
Out: Moloney, Sellar, Bennell, Green (inj)

As few changes as possible this week - and all of mine are depending on whos fit (Martin/Bartram/Green etc).

Also, I feel for Sellar a little (although I prefer Martin) - hes still quite young for a KPP and has some development left in him. I think hes only a year older than Watts.

The key for Sellar is that he really needs to slim down a little and gain a bit more mobility if he wants to play as a key forward.

He's much more suited to playing as a defender because he has good speed in a straight line and reads the play quite well.

If Frawley goes down I'd hope he can fill in well down back.

No Morton! We looked half like a team when he was out. The ball goes to him and just stops. Then moves sideways or a small way forward. Turnover. Opposition goal.

He chokes too hard.

i know this is a bit off topic but does anyone know if we are getting broadcast of channel 7 this week?

I don't think Frawley or Green will come up this week. Which should open the door for Sylvia or Petterd and potentially young Davis. No idea where Bartram is with his fitness either, so I've left him out this week, but he'd come in for either Tappscott or Bennell potentially.

It's a difficult one this week, as we played ok for 3 quarters but let ourselves down horribly in the last quarter. I'd be inclined to keep Bennell in the side. We need to put games into these guys. I'd rather play him than Morton anyway. At least Bennell can offer pace. Sellar makes way for Fitz until Martin is fit enough to come back in. We need another ruck option in the side. and with Clark playing well in the F50, that pretty much leaves Sellar or Fitz as our only options. So I'd go with the following changes:

OUT

Green - injured
Frawley - injured
Sellar - offers a big body, that's it

IN

Sylvia - time to deliver Col
Davis - with Frawley out, could be a good chance to give the kid a run
Fitzpatrick - surely will offer more than Sellar

I say keep it simple, the team wont click if you make large changes.

Sallar,Bennell,Green(inj)
SME,Bartram, Rickybobby

In: Martin, Sylvia, Morton
Out: Sellar, Bennell, Dunn

Reasoning:
1. Martin >>>> Sellar; he's more agile, more highly skilled, a better ruckman, gives better forward pressure... WHY IS HE NOT IN THE SIDE
2. Sylvia; he's had his week off, he knows he needs to lift and he's one of the most skilled players on our list - he needs to be playing
3. Morton; he's done his time for his poor performance against the Swans, he was really encouraging before then. Much better option to provide some run then Bennell is.

Sorry TPM, I normally enjoy your work but this is a ridiculous post on many levels.
Namely the attitude of "he's had his week off" or "he's done his time". Of course I would love to see all 3 of those players in our side as they should, all things being equal, make us a better team. But to suggest that they have learnt their lesson after being dropped for a week and not even playing at Casey (bye) is farcical.
To be fair, that is a little harsh on Morton, who has had a decent year (by his recent standards), and I was mainly referring to Sylvia. He should, and I think will, spend multiple weeks at Casey until 1. his match fitness is up to AFL level (not his fault they rushed him back) 2. he shows some sort of form 3. he shows some sort of commitment and 4. Neeld decides he might actually go OK in the midfield.

Re: Martin, clearly there is something wrong on the injury front... The assumption that the club tells us lowly supporters about every little niggle is not advisable.

I hear what you're saying, but I think that firstly; Col has been a massive scapegoat for this alleged 'lack of effort' amongst our players - the new cliche.. and secondly that if we don't go in with some more class against the Bombers we will be absolutely hammered.

Neeld was the one who rushed Sylvia back into the team with a low fitness base and no VFL footy behind; he should take his share of the responsibility for Col's performance.

Morton should never have been out of the team, knee-jerk decision by Neeld... but he probably calls it 'setting the standards'.

We put in 3 decent quarters against the Blues.

No changes unless injuries or if Martin is fit then piss Sellar off ASAP!

I'd rather Joel Macdonald over Col Garland at the present because Garland has been killed recently.
Dont know about either of them, every time they get the ball l get flash backs to big Alistair Nicholson kicking the ball

Out: Sellar, Bennell, (Green)

IN: Martin, Bartram, (Bate)

Green will play this week, there has been no blood since Sunday and it was only a minor cut. Did not miss training.

Only change I would consider is bring back Bartram. But for who?

Personally I thought Sellar was solid and did not do anything wrong so he won't be dropped this week. Stefan Martin has a slight quad complaint so he might have a run in the VFL this week before playing in the AFL.
