Midfield bats deep. Hope that helps us.

Tall forward structure preserved. Good.

Glad Cruize got reward for output. Now just really hope he backs it up with an even better game.

Forward lines reasonably equivalent.

Come on North. Time to bring it.

Expected from us, unexpected from them. Hurley or Gumby will need to go back.

Baguley is a mature age player who played for Frankston. He's a big bodied, running defender. Browne kicked two awesome goals late last week. He's a smooth, evasive flanker. Lee is also a mature-agre who I think had the most ever possessions in a WAFL season last year. Ball magnet who's inside and outside.

I thought he has been okay but doesn't get a lot of love by some Essendon supporters.

I think they will be hoping to exploit Tarrant/Hansen on the rebound and if we go to Drew too much then they will drop numbers on him. We will need to make good decisions going forward, I hope Anthony plays like last week where he dished off a lot instead of having too many rainmakers inside 50.

Whoever gets the favourable matchup goes deep to the goal square. They'll be swapping and changing so much blokes will get loose.

It comes down to the work rate, Hansen and Tarrant have been good about leading to create space, however, our boys in the middle need to honour those leads or else the defenders will sag off to cover the obvious bomb to Petrie. Our mids need to make sure Hansen and Tarrant's opponent is pre-occupied with them not getting the ball, if that is the case we will find opportunities to get Drew one-out.

Surprised with the bomber changes, something must be up. Late change perhaps?

Monfries and crameri into the forward line and Hurley to go back I would presume. If it happens I wouldn't be too unhappy, could see Hurley causing us big headaches.

How many hammies will Essendon cop on the night? They better go with fully fit blokes or they will finish the game with less than 18 players the way they're going.

North: In Adams, Out Mullet
Essendon: In Fletcher, Monfries, Crameri, Hibberd, Lee
Out: Slattery, Winderlich, Pears, Hooker, Howlett.

Who would have thought Essendon would drop both Hooker and Pears for a game against us?

Reactionary selections by Essendon.

They are obviously shit frightened of our quick ball movement.

I don't think so. It's got to be cloak and dagger. If they go in as named, I honestly can't believe I was ever worried.
What are Essendon doing? Last time I remembered this is NOT how you plan for a Grand Final.

Could it be that they are trying to do anything they can to get us to go away from our best 22? They know they couldn't possibly go so tall that we'd introduce an extra tall, so maybe go crazy crazy small and hope we panic and drop a tall? Then they can reintroduce Hooker or Pears as a late change and it evens things up from their point of view? Maybe they just want us to waste time planning for match ups that will never eventuate. I simply cannot believe that they wont bring a tall back in.

For those interested, Baguely and Lee are both around 180cm. That team is miniature.
