To be fair to the kid he's probably forgotten how to play this role. :p
Griffiths is a success story. Played a couple games up forward when he first played, then went back, played average to shit, then was tailored to play up forward and has flourished. McDonough is OKAY at half-back but we need an extra small other than edwards up forward who is creative and smart.

can't believe people are saying newy should be dropped after dimma praised him in his press conference after the game and people suggesting resting people 2 rounds in is ridiculous, no player unless they were injured the previous week should need to be rested!! they've played 2 games in the last 3 weeks! I think jacko will come in for foley as the only change. Lloyd McDonough and foley emergencies
we're already a lock for the grand final we should just start resting our best players now

Disagree, arnot is too slow to apply real aggressive pressure, he can tackle/bump, but can't chase down quick rebounding defenders

Is Arnot actually slow? I've never considered him slow (just average) - given he is one of the fitter guys at the club and loves the 1percenters stuff, I would have thought he'd be a decent option (especially late in games) when he needs to run and chase.

Given this week isn't a 'crunch' game, I'd like to see McDonough come in again to get some more exposure/game time. Thought he was a bit stiff to be dropped against the Blues but probably lost his place due to the pressure on the team to get the win.

Jackson should come in but might be an option to start as/be subbed out while he works his way back.

Not sure who makes way - maybe Kingy as his defensive pressure probably won't be as critical (as we should be expecting to have a lot of control of the game). Possibly Foley too due to not having much impact from the sub's vest in his 2 games.

Think we could go in unchanged. Jackson was ok in the VFL praccy but still looks a little underdone.

If it were me, I'd drop Grimes for Jackson. As far as I am aware, the dogs only have one true tall forward (Jones). Going in with 4 guys who can play KPD on a day that is forecast to be wet against a team with 1 tall forward seems silly.

Other names mentioned in here (foley, king, morris) would be suited to both playing the dogs and the wet conditions, in my view.

A little off topic but god i wish they went back to the Footscray Bulldogs

Really going to effect us, playing under a roof........

In: Lloyd, McDonough, Jackson.

Out: TBD

Knights pulled up sore as did A. Edwards.
Lennon is not ready.
Gordan would be a possibility, but I feel Grigg's spot is the only he can lay claim to at the current time.

The three blokes facing omission may be King (inj.), Conca (inj.) and Foley.

However it wouldn't surprise me if Jackson was given another week off.

We're playing indoors.

Wouldn't it be awesome if we could play Jackson, Thomas and Miles in the same team if Lids was injured.

A shame we can't
Or can we? No, no you're right, we can't.

But it does seem completely reasonable that if you can't replace a player with another of the same calibre you should be able to bring in two medicore players, or three duds. This has merit.
