They can’t be considered, the lists are sorted and we have 20 people to choose from. That’s it. So unless the AFL changes the rules to allow random blokes to rock up when they want (they won’t) it’s all hot air.

The AFL made up a new rule to let GWS list Mumford again, so there is precedent.

We didn’t get worked out in 2019. We were second half rain in the Richmond game off finishing top 2. We go back to back without that second half, we were peaking at the right time. That game was in effect the GF

2020 till now is a mixture of covid, injuries and the kick mark going out of fashion

We were never winning 2019 after Willie went out. Flat as biscuits and still nearly beat the cats.

Based on today this is what i believe team will be

TK was going to be in so obviously changes a bit

Langdon - Darling - L.Ryan (Waterman)
Petruccelle - JJK - SPS

NicNat - Redden - Gaff (XON)
Nelson - J.Jones - Naish

Hurn - Gov - Foley
Witherden - Edwards - Rotham (Hough)

Yeo seemed closer than expected. Maybe being pushed back for low TOG quicker than expected.

Id say they are 21 names then they probably need to pick a backup ruck. Unless theyre doing something funky. So Stranadica
Not sure why you think Yeo is close to being considered this week!

He was walking laps on Friday for the first session when the main group were doing exercises involving twisting and turning. He later joined in the full oval drill and played out wide on a wing and pretty much playing an uncontested link up. I think he is still away from tackling and sharp turning.

My read of the Cyril article is that he is not talking about on field help but off field.

I would suggest Trevor go and see what we can do with Cyril as out Indigenous Manager. Increase our support for our players, our academy prospects, the schools and supporter base.

I was really surprised last year with the Dreamtime game at Optus how strong a following Essendon had. Get Cyril to turn them to Eagles.

I am sure none of his cost will count against a soft cap.

Grain of salt stuff given the clubs transparency with injuries but Gavin Bell on ABC just now not ruling Kelly out

Confirmed he had some hamstring tightness but selection will depend on how he gets through training this morning. Said they were hopeful he’d play

Kelly to do a 6 week hammy in the first quarter confirmed

Was that on sports talk? I've been wanting to listen to it but it is listed as starting at 3.30pm which seems strange.

Backs: Edwards, Gov, Rotham, Hurn, Witherden, Foley, Hough
Mids: Gaff, Naish, Redden, SPS, XON, Nelson
Rucks: NicNat, Dixon
Forwards: Kennedy, Darling, Waterman, Ryan, Jones, Petch, Langdon
Sub: Ledwards again
Emergencies: West, Jamieson, Winder

That’s probably the 26 that were training. Kelly and Trew were the others from the 28 that trained fully yesterday.

Pretty optimistic to blame rain as a reason to not holding up the premiership cup end of 2019.
Also I was at the game, the rain really wasn’t that bad.

I know Cyril saying he wouldn’t mind topping up for us or Richmond is prob not true but imagine having 2 Rioli’s in our side. [emoji14][emoji14]

This is an excellent idea for many reasons. A three-time premiership player with strong connections to family that will absolutely be beneficial to all of our indigienous players, including being able to keep an eye on Willie from a footy/family/Willie perspective. Plus we'd surely get an inside running on NT talent coming through the ranks.

We said we wouldn't talk about 2001 again. You're talking about it. Lalalala.
I can't honestly say that I remember Richard Taylor

Do we have an Indigenous Player Development Manager? There was a function for them earlier in the year and 15/18 clubs had one at that point.

Their salary doesn’t count in the soft cap so there’s absolutely no reason not to employ one. And a good one.
