Do you even watch the games?

Rama played today and tagging Carr? LOL

Out: Slatts
In: Hislop

I'd also consider giving Jetta a run for Bendigo, he seems to be really lacking confidence, ala running into an open goal today and giving off a handball...

Who else would you tag- Palmer won't be playing (bound to be rested as he needs a rest). Honestly they have no-one worth tagging except maybe Carr who has decent disposals.

I didn't realise Rama played, my apologies. Well in that case, bring Mal Michael in. Reason is someone has to mark Pavlich and Fletcher would not be a great matchup to be dead honest.

Do you think Lucas needs a rest?

He just wasn't Fit as he usally is, i think a week rest would do him well.

lucas has been good i think, he should have kicked 6 against west coast, kicked 3.3 and in the first quarter there was another 3 opportunities for goal that he messed up by playing on.. he has been a bit out of sorts but it will come back... when he gets his confidence back he will kick bags again, even today he kicked 1.3 which would have normally turned into 3.1 if he had of been at his normal rate.

I thought Leeroy played his best game for the year today - esp first half. Layed a goal saving tackle in the 2nd quarter -only problem was it spilled to Carlton player and kicked a goal. He is slowly getting better and it would be a massive injustice to drop him with a little bit of momentum going his way.

No changes unless Slats does not come up - which would be strong possibility I think

Agreed.

I would consider resting Lucas if it is doing more damage, if not, keep playing him. This at least means McPhee and Neagle are not getting the best backmen. Lucas lacks fitness, seems to have no spring in his legs. The mid-season break should be great for him.

May be send Welsh to Crowley to try and stop him tagging Stanton. I'm not sure any of the Freo midfielders are worth tagging - Palmer definitely knows how to get it, but butchers it massively.

Don't believe Slatts will play and with Houli out to after the break, I would consider bringing in Atkinson for another try. Not sure who else we could try, particularly if Pears is injured.

Houli won't be back this week. Give him the two off, and get him right for Brisbane.

IN: Dyson
OUT: Slats:(

Unfortunately IMO this is going to be the case (Cant stand Dyson) but those who are calling for Hooker, forget it, the kids going well agreed but how many tall options do we need up front? ATM we have Lloyd, Lucus, Neagle, Lazcock and Hille.

You are a funny man. Of course Palmer will be playing. He is Freo's best midfielder at the moment and if they dropped him the Freo supporters might sack Harvey on the spot.

J Carr is hopelessly out of form and to be honest he is a massive chance to be omitted this week. And he has terrible disposal.

Michael would not keep up with Pavlich as he plays a roaming CHF type position.

You seem to be making a bad habit of getting things shockingly wrong at the moment.

Wouldn't mind seeing Knights give Cale Hooker the call up. Apart from that drop Jetta. Possibly bring in Hislop. Liking Essendons forward structure over the last couple of weeks. Neagle doesn't get much of the ball but kicks important goals when needed. Reckon we could just miss out on the finals this year.

Jetta was good yesterday, one of his best games. We won't be dropping him.

we dont need to make 3 changes, lets get some stability into the team

ins: houli (if he isnt fit then probably pears)
outs: slattery

thats it. we need a back pocket and rama is that... mal shouldnt come back in... laycock although didnt have a lot of it i wasnt too dissapointed with the way he played. kicked a vital goal an did pretty well in the hitouts imo..

I'm happy to admit I was wrong with Lloyd in terms of where his career is at... but Rama, finished.

Agree we need stability!

How good is winning!!! The weekend is so much better when the Dons win!!! I give us a chance against the Dockers over there!!! :thumbsu:

I actually think he needs more game time to get his match fitness up.

He was limping heaps last night :(

Out: Slattery (inj)
In: Pears (presuming Houli isn't fit)

There is no way we should rest lucas imo. He is so important for the team structurally that resting him would make it much harder to beat freo next round. Having him in the team frees up players like Neagle and Mcphee and is allowing them to find some good form. Even without kicking any goals, players like lucas and lloyd are still beneficial and are definately needed!:thumbsu:

IN: Houli
OUT: Slattery

Rama surprisingly had a pretty good game yeaterday, I'd keep him in for next week...

Would there be a matchup for Mal this week?

Palmer will be RESTED, not dropped. He seems tired to be honest and like all first year players a rest would not hurt him. Apart from Carr who else, Ibbotson possibly I guess. And who else would play on Pavlich, Fletcher would not work, Ryder no, he'd be better on Tarrant.

Would you care to have a bet on Palmer being rested/dropped ?

He's only a young buck and it's going to sound a little harsh but Palmer's disposal by foot in particular is abo____ely shithouse! He's gutsy, he gets his own ball but yeah, not happy about his disposal. Is it because he was a high draft pick that the media and the "experts" mess up their jocks over him? If I criticise Stanton (which I have plenty of times) over his disposal then Palmer has to cop it too!

Although I wasn't going to weigh into the Myers vs Palmer critiquing, I have to say Myers is far more polished in terms of skill and decision making. Obviously plenty of his game still needs to be worked on, including his decision making, but so far so good, I may rue saying this but at the moment I'm very happy we took Myers over Palmer! I shant ever compare the two except for the week leading up to Ess v Freo games.

you reckon it's a good idea to rest someone, 1 week before the mid season break?

as for changes, i agree that dyson is likely to be included. i hope not.

If Johnno plays this week it'll be his 200th game, you'd think Harvey would pay him respects by not dropping him:thumbsu:

At this stage, i'd say Slattery would be the only out and possibly a runner like Dyson will come in for the big ground in Subiaco.
Let Hislop and Hocking get a couple of games at Bendigo then hopefully they can push for selcetion for the Brisbane game who are a physical unit.
