Freo have some solid bodies that rotate through the middle. Therefore, even though it may not quite be a step forward for the kids, I think peverill will get the call up for Slattery.

Adds exp and hardness in the centre. Would love to see Bellchambers come in for Laycock however as well. Would be a good test for the young fella

I think your right on the PEVonator but I think Lazycock must have taken a bit of viagra over the last couple of weeks dont think he deserves to be dropped.

Wouldn't mind seeing Peverill back in the senior line up. Wouldn't mind seeing another kid debut as well

Other than Hooker and the Rookies who aren't elevated(so cant play) do we have anybody else to debut? Maybe Knights could pull on the boots and 'debut' for Essendon ;)

As much as I dislike Lazycock and everything I've EVER written about him on this forum, I don't think he deserves to be dropped for the freo game. It seems someone finally inserted that rocket up his ass that I called for weeks ago and the fuse is getting shorter. Still don't like him, but definately improved over the last two weeks.

Pears injured his ribs playing Bendigo last weekend. Unless he has made a miraculous recovery he won't be playing this week.

Although having said that and after checking essendonfc.com.au injury report, Pears doesn't feature. Maybe he is available for selection....

Yeah, had the same confusion re: Pears.

He has put on a few Kg's drinking coke in the coaches box hey?

Also, I see no Pears! So him or Pev will play.

ESSENDON
Tom Hislop (shoulder) available
Heath Hocking (groin) available
Henry Slattery (broken cheekbone) 1 week
Darcy Daniher (back) 1-2 weeks
Bachar Houli (groin) 1-2 weeks
Courtenay Dempsey (leg) 3 weeks
Andrew Lee (shoulder) 3-4 weeks
Jason Johnson (calf) 4 weeks
Scott Gumbleton (collarbone) indefinite
Alwyn Davey (knee) season

Pev or Pears seem like the obviouse choice but dont be supprised if the teachers pet (Dyson) gets the nod.

who does welsh tag? i wouldnt tag palmer because he turns it over more then he hits a target so which one of freo's midfeidlers deserves a tag?
bell?

welsh might not tag any one, we could play him in the back pocket, presuming Slattery doesnt make the flight, then we could bring in one of the kids in as a bit of experience, maybe, one of Hocking, Lee, Hislop. Not sure on how they are all going injuries form etc, but give one of the kids a go, even left field, bring in Johnson for some solid form in the Reserves, give him a go, would be good to see him bac in the seniors, maybe not starting on the ground but yeah.

Hocking: Injured - Will hopefully be lucky to play in Bendigo this week. (Groin)
Lee: Injured - Out for the Season most likely. (Shoulder)
Johnson: Injured - Aggravated his calf at training, another month. (Calf)
Hislop: Maybe... He's coming back from a previous injury. (Shoulder)

Hislop would be your only option there, even though there's no great chance he'll come in, its still possible...

thanks young gun, was not sure on the situation with some players, so it looks like we are gonna have to bring in Dyson then, wouldnt mind seeing Jonhson in for another run,

if we do play dyson would you mind him running out of defence or at the feet of Neagle and Lucas

Farmer is dropped according to channel 7 news (perth) after missing a recovery training session in melb after the saints game

That one. Does it quite well I think.

Well if true it's a very good thing for us. Our small forward problem has been going on all season and without Slattery, we wouldn't have any small backman capable of keeping up with Farmer
