Interesting one.
For me, we just have too many players clogging up spots and doing the bare minimum.
All potential:
Outs:
Magner is a certain out.
Watts/Nicholson/Tapscott all took hits and I'd expect one to miss.
Bennell was good with the ball, as was Blease. Shame they had 15 touches together. One will miss.
Bail had 20 of the least effective touches in the game, also shanked one.
Bate simply has no future at the club.
MacDonald and Dunn are saving their arses and will stay in.
Spencer and Martin lost the hitouts, but only by 2. If Jamar is back, leave Spencer out.
Moloney did the bare minimum to keep his spot, but the vest will be elsewhere.
Ins:
Jamar is a certain in, if fit.
Cook, Gysberts and Couch are all now strategically important.
If Cook stinks it up tomorrow, Fitzpatrick gets his chance.
Petterd is an option, straight in for Bate. Just play adequately.
Jetta is also an option.
Davis and McDonald are both chances. Tom will play if he's fit, Davis will play if we don't play Cook and we leave Rivers up forward.
Davey seems like he's fit and will play, Green also.
Tynan is a tough nut who can run, play him.
Morton would need to be very good in the VFL to warrant a call up.
Strauss is a classy user, whether we fast track him or wait a few more weeks is questionable. Should be playing the role Watts is now, and must finish the season with a solid run.
