I appreciate we managed to out-run the Bombers and win 4 quarters against Collingwood without these three but let's not forget Wells, Grima & Adams would be in the top 10 of our B&F if they played 22 games, they are still big losses.

We will need the guys to continue picking up the slack as this is Fremantle's season on the line. Let's not let these purple pricks cost us a home final!

Your assured of home final already? It's just whether you play the cats, blues or us.

If west coast win you guys will be playing Geelong at the 'G',I think.

If we lose this week, no we aren't. Can still easily end up playing WCE in Perth if they drop to Pies and Hawks (possible) and Cats win both theirs (likely)

yep, this is the reason this game is so important. Takes away any chance of having to go to Perth.

Exactly right :thumbsu: Hence why I dont get the "if NMFC take this game easy knowing they have made finals" comments from Freo supporters in other threads. Yeah......nah.

Does anyone feel Mullett is breathing down MacMillan's neck for his spot in the 22?
Mullet hasn't played enough senior games against quality opposition this season (and in his career), so I'd say no, he is not. If JMac is fit, he will hold on to his spot this season. You don't bring a young bloke in for the finals, with Mullet's level of experience.

I reckon it's a bit late to tinker with the side, and injuries aside, we play our best 22, which means Wells replaces Garlett when ready, and Grima replaces Delaney when ready, assuming everyone else is fit.

I know competition for spots is good and all that, but that's a little creepy.

In all seriouslylnessiness though, If fishy can continue to develop his tank, put on some more size and show some defensive accountability around the midfield I reckon he will be putting the match committee in a very difficult situation.

I tend to agree re: Mullet & MacMillan. Interesting to debate nonetheless.

Continuity is incredibly important and I imagine it's a big reason as to why we have maintained our form.

Everyone in the midfield will know they're playing for their finals spot with Wells due back next week.

Could be a late change for them, Pav only 50-50 according to Lyon today:

What are the odds that he'll pull some sly shit 10 minutes before the game starts?
