I wouldn't drop Jamar. We need to exploit our advantage if the ruck (especially if Longmuir doesn't play) and White will need time off each quarter to remain fresh. The days of 1 ruckman at Melbourne are hopefully over.

Playing one ruckman= suicide.
You people want a repeat of the Nicholson/Ferguson debacle?

So I agree, regardless of how fit their ruckmen are, we cannot afford to play with just White. I remember against Sydney where PJ was injured, White came out the following week and said he was stuffed having to ruck alone for the rest of the game. He hasn't done so all seaosn, and is not fit enough. Besides, why tire one of our key players if we don't need to?

I will spew if Dunn is dropped. Could not ask for a better debut from him, and to drop him will be a huge slap in the face. We don't need Holland this week, so he goes and Godfrey. PLEASE GET HIM OUT!!!

I disagree in terms of Holland (Godders should be a sure thing to be dropped, never to return). Dutchy is needed, he can take a pack mark, knows how to kick goals and has experience. Dunn was great on debut, but I don't think it's enough to save him. Had Miller played, he wouldn't have been picked, so I think Holland get's the nod. Had Dutchy put in a shocker, Dunn plays, but it wasn't the case.

There is going to be one or two VERY stiff players this week come selection time. I think one of either Dunn or Holland will play this weekend, and I am leaning towards Holland. Nothing against Dunn, his debut was great, but Holland was fantastic down back on Friday night, and I think that means he will keep his spot. Miller, Carroll and Rivers down back, Neitz, Holland and Robbo down forward. I think we need that extra tall down forward, while having Pickett, Davey, Yze, Sylvia etc. at their feet. Holland looks better each week.

In: Whelan, Miller, Neitz
Out: Brown, Godfrey, Dunn

Neitz wont make it back... Holland is a hack who struggles to kick straight. I'd drop Godfrey and leave out Miller. He isn't even close to the form needed to play senior football...

I have no issue with Dutchy, expect I sometimes get an overwhelming desire to kill him when he drops a sitter in the goal square! :o

I just don't see why we need him on Saturday, when we can bring in Miller who could cover us down back or at CHF. Dutchy is really just a depth player.

I would like to see players who play well rewarded by keeping their spot in the side the next week. For that reason it wouldn't bother me if Miller was brought back through the 2's and hopefully find some form he has been missing most of the season (even though he's been played out of position). For the same reason Dunn should remain.
Jamar must remain or it becomes the same old syndrome of young ruckmen not getting a go and stunting their development. The days of White rucking all day effectively are gone.
Happy for Godfrey to be dropped for someone who has earned his spot through performance in the 2's. When Jones gets a go, I want it to be because he has been in the best at Sandy weeek after week and not just because of reputation or potential.

Ins: Neitz, Whelan
Outs: Brown, Godfrey

My only concern may be being a bit top heavy.

Ouch, forgot him didnt we?

Ins: Ward, Nicholson, Read , L.Williams
Outs: Bate, Dunn, Bartram, Green

Bartram has a spell, not tackling well enough

Green dropped for having a good game.

Williams brought back for some added toughness.

Funnily enough, Williams was playing for Strathmore on the weekend and I was yelling abuse at him whenever he got the ball, not just because he was in opposition colours, but because he was a dud at Melbourne. Just like I will yell abuse at Heffernan when we play Essendon.

We don't need 4 talls down back. Chuck Miller at centre half forward, Neitz at full forward and Robertson in the pocket.
