Couldn't see if there was already a thread on this, sorry if there is mods, feel free to delete it.

Pretty solid performance from the guys last night so I wouldn't expect big changes if any for next saturday.

Foley's heel may be of concern. Perhaps he will need a rest.

Vickery wasn't too impressive but he did get amongst it far more than previous weeks. Had 16 possessions and a goal I think. Just needs to find his (field) kicking boots. So he stays for mine.

The only other possible out I can think of is Ellis, purely for a rest, but they may just play him until the bye, he seems fresh enough.

So for mine:

Out: Foley (heel)
In: Either White or Arnot (would prefer to see Arnot given a run)

Whoever replaces Foley to play as sub and A. Maric to be given a full 4 quarters in the midfield.

if anyone comes back in it will be Dea. More likely we will go in unchanged - but if Dea comes in, whoever is out is going to be stiff.

Axel is going nowhere. He was subbed so he could be ready for next week, he could have played out the game - Dimma said as much in his press conference.

Houli wont be dropped either. If anyone is out it will be from Ellis or A. Maric.

I wouldn't be shocked to see King miss a week for tripping. I think Houli has been making mistakes under pressure and while he doesn't back out of contests he could go in a bit harder. Am happy leaving the team as settled as possible though. Houli still hasn't played a heap of footy so is prone to mistakes.

I would like Dea to come back in though.

We cant drop houli..

Dont think we should make any changes this week, and A. Maric should be the sub again. He's not good enough to play a full game. He is a good explosive player to come on fresh late in the game.

Would like to see arnot given a run at some stage but Dimma would hesitate to change the lineup. No point in changing it up when the players are currently working well with each other.

Don't think there should be any changes this week to be honest.

No changes, unless King goes for a week and we being in Dea. I'd like to give Maric a full game, but we really don't have too many sub candidates in the side. It's pretty much either him or Ellis.

No changes, unless someone is injured.

A.Maric deserves to start. Kingy as sub.
Disagree.

Maric is better when the sting is out of the game and it opens up...almost the perfect sub imo.

King on the other hand goes hard and is good to have early on.

Why Ellis?
Big bodied player who is finally picking up the tempo of AFL. Was one of our better contributors last night IMO.
He's not particularly good as a small defender, and his execution and ability to run to the right spot aren't good enough to force out another one of our rebounders yet.

Dea offers the ability to shut down a forward, small/tall, and he never fumbles or misses by hand.

Ellis isn't playing as a small defender though. he is a swing man.
Very impressive game from him last night.
I diagree with your thoughts on dropping him, but hey, that's what a 'Changes' thread is all about isn't it?

Yeah, but he's primarily playing as a linkman or floater off the stoppage, which we have other players to do (and usually better). Dea is very important to our structure, especially with Grimes out. I don't think Ellis had a bad game, just that he's first off the block as far as expendable players, unluckily for him.

Maric or King could come out I guess, and Dea could go straight back into the backline but I think Dimma loves King too much to drop him, and Maric has earnt an opportunity to show what he can do.
