Dimma's article in the Herald Sun today just made me realise how proud I am that i support the Richmond footy club. He is the best thing to happen to this club in a long long long time. Also very happy for Kel Moore, just an amazing story for the guy. And to top it off is a top bloke as well. Good work.

Great for Kel:thumbsu: but Dimma should shut up about how other clubs approach the tribunal, especially when our club isnt involved. I would spew if Worsfold had come out telling us it was pointless in trying to get Jackson off for hitting a Crow.

If Moore is an in, you would suspect that they must be looking to be extra cautious with Griff and rest him given his niggle on the weekend
or maybe he will play third tall and release a flanker to midfield to cover white out.

B. Moore Rance Morris
HB. Houli Griffiths Newman
C. Conca Cotchin Grigg
HF. Edwards Derickx Maric
F. McGuane Riewoldt Nahas
Foll. Maric Tuck Deledio
Inter. Batchelor Ellis Webberley Dea

In - Webberley, Moore
Out - O'Hanlon, White.

If Griff isn't right, O'Hanlon stays, Moore plays CHB and Batchelor goes to play 3rd tall (which I am not for but with so many defenders out we won't have a choice).

hmmm, not sure I like that. Leaves us with Reiwoldt, McGuane, Derickx, Moore, and O'Hanlon all up forward. Even if you sub Moore/O'Hanlon, its 4 tall forwards with probably Maric as a pocket. Edwards has been having a great year as an attacking HFF, and I would hate to lose his attack right now by pushing him back. Unfortunately O'Hanlon doesn't have the tank IMO to run in the guts yet

Yeh i agree with that part. But i think he was just leading into the Matt White defence, which is what you want to see from a coach when a guy has been given an unfair penalty.

I agree Richmond gets the unfair stick across the chops far to often needs someone to stand up :-)

What do you guys think of potential matchups that you may be worried about from Gold Coast? Obviously Ablett is the first person everyone tries to curb, any others.

Deledio, and Cotchin for mine. I think with Rischitelli coming back through the forward line last week could come through the midfield this week and be put on Deledio to try negate his influence a bit. Ablett head to head with Cotchin would be great, let the ball players run loose and also be accountable of each other. Pretty mouth watering contest, as I rate Cotchin in the top 5-10 midfielders in the comp

I'd think Warnock will go to Riewoldt deep in the forward line, and maybe a Brennan if he goes higher up the ground. I prefer Brennan forward of the ball though.

I think Bennel is the kinda guy that could take us to task. I'd send Morris to him and tell him to follow him all day. You can't tag Ablett but I'd send him head to head with Cotch. Would be delightful and I think Cotch would learn a lot. What's the tall forward set up likely to be for you guys?

I would expect something of the following.
FF: Matera, Day, Brown
HF: Brennan, Dixon, Bennell

Brennan, Dixon, Day took 20 marks between them and kicked 1 goal 7 behinds.

Also note Rischitelli went forward for a considerable amount of time having 6 marks and kicking 1.1 for the game. Caddy kicked 3 goals last week as well from the midfield, and Ablett kicking 2.4

Got plenty of shots on game last week with over 30 so hopefully take that into this week against your mob and its a fast free flowing attacking game.

Forecast is for storm on Saturday high of 26. I'm quietly confident the Suns will break through the Tiger storm though ;)

Think i might just take the advice in your sig on that comment

Kel is playing. Will be interesting to see whether or not they use him as a sub.
As suspected by rfctiger74 a little earlier in this thread, my thoughts are the same and that the club is being extra cautious with Griffiths.
Would not be at all surprised if he were to be rested this week, particularly given his history with injuries and the recent injury to Foley.
I understand they are completely different players, I just think that as more players become injured the greater caution the club must show at the selection table. Anyway, would love to see Kel come on and play a quarter or footy. Has been a long road back and would be great if the boys can get up and get a win in his first game back. After all, his win loss percentage is probably worse than Newman's.

I meant as third tall down back. He has played down back at burgers and the rest of his career I wouldn't dream of Moore going forward at this point. Thinking Newman or houli to the centre.

That still leaves us pretty tall down back with Griff, Rance, Moore, and Batchelor.

Dea and Newman IMO don't have the tank right now for mid field work, so it leaves Houli as he obvious one to move forward (which in principle I am in favour of). Only issue then is whether Dea and Newman alone can provide the same kind of delivery from HB that we have been getting from Houli.

Not saying I hate the idea, just that it leaves us pretty tall down back on a wet day against a side without a mass of tall forwards.

Tuck to Ablett, Morris to Bennell.

Yeah I think Morris to midfield, to run with Bennell, and follow him forward.

Morris maybe, to keep Houli's efficiency off half back.

In: Webberley, Moore
Out: Griffiths, White

B: Newman Rance Batchelor
HB: Houli Moore Morris
C: Ellis Conca Grigg
HF: Nahas Derickx Deledio
F: Edwards Riewoldt McGuane
Foll: I.Maric Cotchin Tuck
Int: Dea O'Hanlon Webberley A. Maric

O'Hanlon and A.Maric both need to see a full game.

Webberley to replace Moore or vice versa (which would mean Derickx to start at CHB).

I would expect something of the following.
FF: Matera, Day, Brown
HOULI RANCE NEWMAN
HF: Brennan, Dixon, Bennell
BATCHELOR MOORE MORRIS
or something close to that.
