Why would you even be bothered thinking like that? We wouldn't win regardless of Dangerfield.

You're not seriously suggesting that we should play Smack as a lead ruck? Now I know you're trolling.
The other two scenarios are plausible. Otten vs LJ is exceedingly unlikely. JJ vs LJ is possible, but highly doubtful given that LJ has never been preferred to.. well, anybody really.
Not trolling.
Jacobs is a waste of a spot at present.
Graham is a non entity.
SMcK is a good ruckman, and the more game time we can pump into him, the better.
Kedge should be back in, Grigg also. LJ if he pulls up ok but im not fussed on him really. Will we risk Patty, he'll wanna play no doubt. If not then Thommo gets a stay of execution. I dont like the idea of going in with a midfield of Sloane, Lyons, Crouch and Grigg against Geelong.

Jacobs as he is now is playing better than McKernan ever has, and at this stage appears ever will.
Playing McKernan as the main ruckman is idiocy when he can't even hold his end up as the second ruck.
sorry ....shouldn't talk to kids like that
Jacobs can't hold his own either - at least we get value out of McKernan getting game time.
While Jacobs wasn't great in the ruck, I thought his work around the ground was better than normal. He seemed to take more marks than usual and used his body in the contests more, or is that just me remembering it wrong? I wouldn't have had him in the three worst.Sam Jacobs was in the top 3 vote getters for triple M worse on ground.
FWT - Andy Otten was worse on ground.
Let's face it.. there's no way of getting any value out of McKernan.. He's borderline acceptable as a 2nd ruck. There's no way on earth anyone in their right mind could suggest playing him as a lead ruck.Jacobs can't hold his own either - at least we get value out of McKernan getting game time.

Less than there is of him making it in the ruck. Can mark, can't kick - and his decision making is beyond terrible. Is he any chance of making it as a permanent forward?

Because they're pretty much clueless about anyone other than Rutten, Talia, Dangerfield, Sloane, Walker & Thompson. No change really from all the other blunders they've made when commenting on our list over the last decade or two.So delist? Why do you think in Vic they mention him as an "emerging talent"?
Considering our best midfielders this year have been Douglas, Dangerfield and Vince, and our most disappointing have been Thompson, van Berlo, Sloane and Wright, along with some up and down performances from Smith, Kerridge, Crouch and Lyon, I don't think it's fair to say either the experienced or inexperienced midfielders have been carrying or letting the side down as a group.

I think you are taking a very pessimistic view.
He's still 21, isn't he?
He's got talent, he just needs time.
and we give Jacobs 1 (probably all...) of the following;Jacobs can't hold his own either - at least we get value out of McKernan getting game time.
West AdelaideWhat no-one prepared to push for L.Thompson's inclusion in this weeks team ?
Wasn't he this board next big thing .......what no supporters?
Big men need time people
Don't write off anyone over 190 odd cm's before they're 24 years old
Fellow Crows gun Scott Thompson might finally succumb to a groin problem he has battled for much of the season.
