Todd played less time on ground and got more of a chop out from Dish and Black. He just needs more of the same.Goldy could certainly use a chop out, playing Currie could be the masterstroke we need to win this game.
I think BJ might get the call up this week to replace spitta
Ahem. God I'm purile, aren't I?McMillan was excellent today. No way he drops.

Geelong have plenty of ruck depth.
Blicavs, West, Vardy............
They will just replace Simpson with one of West or Blicavs.
I'd be playing Currie this week, especially if Blicavs plays. Whilst he's not an AA ruckman, he will grind Goldy into the ground in the second half of the game.
Tarrant took 10 marks as chf. pretty good i reckon
Daw is simply not capable of playing the role Taz plays, which is not solely about direct scoreboard impact. Sure, he did not have his kicking boots on during Saturdays game, but his hit up marking, 9 inside 50's and 4 goal assists read pretty impressively for the position he plays. Granted it was against Melbourne.Against limited opposition and couldnt convert to save himself, Daw deserves another chance. Lets mix it up, this is about next year not now.

Daw does not have the tank nor the smarts. He is either a stay in the F50 forward or a relief ruck at this stage. Maybe next year after another preseason of running up hills and practicing his game sense he might be given the chance.

Very narrow viewpoint, we need to see what he can do and he needs to learn the game at senior level. Nothing against Tarrant at all when I suggest we play Daw. I'm looking at next year not 2013.
North Melbourne do not tank. If we're going to drop Tazza for Daw we may as well drop Ziebell for Harper while we're at it
Daw's last two AFL games:
vs Adelaide - 0 kicks, 2 handballs, 0 marks, 1 tackle, 4 hitouts, 49% TOG
vs Duckers - 2 kicks, 2 handballs, 1 marks, 3 tackles, 1 goal, 3 hitouts, 50% TOG
Combine those two and you get 6 possessions, 1 mark and 1 goal from 99% TOG. Simply put, HE IS NOT READY!

Why??? That's a ridiculous statement. Should we also play everyone else on our list with less than 10 games so they can learn at senior level too? Surely that will fast track our pathway to success

No, its informed.Very narrow viewpoint, we need to see what he can do and he needs to learn the game at senior level. Nothing against Tarrant at all when I suggest we play Daw. I'm looking at next year not 2013.
Lol, I could cherry-pick games as well to highlight any one of our player's inadequacies, meaningless![]()
Getting senior games into our young blokes is ridiculous? Probably explains why we will miss finals again![]()
OK I won't cherry pick. Here are his average's across ALL of his AFL games:
4.8 Kicks
2.3 Handballs
2.7 Marks
1.8 Tackles
1.5 Goals
4.7 Hit Outs
53% TOG
IS. NOT. READY.
6 goals vs Bulldogs, only equalled this year by LT.

I would be interested to see the comparison between Daw and Tarrant on a like for like basis eg: How long on list, and stats for their equal number of AFL games from the start (their first 6), obviously Tazza has played more games but it might show what sort of improvement we might expect from Daw?
Below is the stats from the NMFC website for both players which don't break down on a game by game basis for each year, worth looking at though:
