He was very underwhelming, yes, but played as substitute for a reason imo. His fitness wasn't up to scratch and he came off a pre-season where he put on significant size which takes the body some getting used to.

His apprenticeship in the 2's has been long and as a pure inside midfielder, he's adapted to the role well. I'll be happy if he replicates his tackling at VFL level and can run out a full game. I won't be too concerned if he doesn't get it a shitload on the outside and hurts with his disposal.

He needs to work and get his hands dirty.

Agreed. With the right match up LDelaney has shown some real positive signs.

If he has worked on his attacking side as per reports then he could be valuable going forward with Grima being iffy week to week - plus he hasn't been near his best this season.
