Wait until after the SANFL game and who is injured from last night.
No point risking Monfries. It's a long season.

I'm liking the discussion but I'll wait until the Maggies play tomorrow to see who's played well, who's injured and then who trains on Tuesday before finalising my ins/outs for the Cats. Taking my lads down to training on Tues arvo for a BBQ & autographs - they're already pumped.
Who out of Moore and Newton is the better contested ball winner?
If it was the choice between those two, Id be bringing the better one.
Unless Hombsch and Monfries are 100% fit ( unlikely in my opinion ), I hope the club errs on the side of caution, as they are too valuable long term to risk, even in a big game against geebung.
I'd say similar, but Newton hands down the better user of the pill.
Bring in Newton IMO. He is a clearance king.
Id love to see Newton given a run
a good run to see if he's capable
but man Geelong looks intimidating
Geelong today playing a lot of talls. Hombsch should be a certain starter - O'Shea could be our sub.
Out - Impey and wingard injured.
In Hombsch and Moore
Also if we win, we are top by percentageafter Geelong's win (against the Hawks) it is now a 1 v 2 game ...

Can't question you're reasoning FF but I would like to swap Young for Scooter as the sub. I'm probably harsh on Aaron but I think Newton on the inside and outside in the last quarter could be a good move for the PAFC against the cats.Back from the Port v Eagles game and based on what I saw wouldn't make any changes.
Sure a few players racked up a heap of stats but that was due to the Eagles coach basically playing everyone behind the ball even when kicking with a 4-5 goal breeze. It was easy for the mids to run around outside the forward 50 and rack up stats. Newton did some good work in close and Mitchell was busy but geez, it's embarrassing watching us tear apart ill-equipped sanfl sides. And the Eagles were unbeaten and playing on their home deck.
The only change I would consider based on the sanfl game is to bring in Neade. He was electric in the forward lines where there were regularly 30+ players congregated. He had 3 goals by the second quarter and had handed out another one or two. Then Buddha took him off for half the quarter, our minds wandered and we drifted in the game a bit. By the last Neadey was providing some electrifying burst runs. His chasing and tackling was exemplary too.
Butch had a shocker,
No but not many do.doesn't Newton have a Hammer like kick ?
