Thought it might be amusing on here tonight.... Not disappointed so far. Far more disappointed with our attack on the ball.... DH said it best...insipid.

Its a bit of a copout from the coach to blame our attack on the ball (even though it wasnt good enough in the second half). We won more than enough of the footy in the first half and kicked 5 goals. If one of the better teams won that much of the ball in the first half they would have comfortable kicked 12 and put the game away. We simply aren't good enough and don't have enough classy players to punish the opposition. Then when they get on top we crumble.

Im sure our depth will be questioned again, but as allready been pointed out in this thread its our best players who simply arent good enough. How many times does Cotch win a clearance and the ball get marked by an opposition player. There was a really obvious one in the game against the dogs that cost us when we had momentum. Cotch, Martin, Lids and Jack simply do not stand out in enough games, especially the big ones, none are good enough to get close to the AA team, when 4 or 5 years ago it was meant to be these guys that took us to the top 4.

Did you see the game? There were that many double grabs and fumbles it was embarrassing.... that's attack on the ball. That's crapping yourself under pressure. That is Richmond far too often since 2012....

Cotch, Martin, JR were some of our better performed players tonight but their execution was poor. If I see Cotch miss another set shot to the right of goal when it spins too quickly because he's almost shinned it, I'll crack the shits...more.

Lids performs in big games, time and time again. It's been proven, there are threads on here with the games stats and highlights to prove it. What's telling is that we are 1-9 or 2-9 without him. That's no coincidence....

We should have been 3 goals up at halftime.... but then Melbourne had 4 or 5 posters in the first half to our 2 or 3... so they weren't without chances themselves....

I'm not sure if I'm now wanting us to make finals knowing we aren't good enough to do any damage or focus on developing what's on our list and then cut deeply the older guys and get more young talent in. Not sure if we can do both but that'd be great...

I know sometimes the club have their hand forced, but I'm sick of seeing our shit-truck draftees waltz into the side while the higher rated ones are forced to wait.

Thomas, Gordon and Lloyd all got early games while we had to wait months for Miles and Lennon.

We had to wait over a month for Vlastuin and now we have to watch the likes of Lambert and Drummund (the injury sucks, but he looked well out of his depth) while Corey Ellis is stuck in the reserves.

I know there are often reasons but it's just frustrating.

Yeah, but I'm not sure whether he will snap in half
I've seen enough of him to still suggest he will be a star but we just can't fast track his body at a macdonalds rate
He has the tools and the brain which is a start
