i agree , i was being sarcastic, he goes to ground because he knows he cant compete and thinks he is at least making an effort, its just not a good look anymoreStops don't make a difference when you elect to go to ground....

Pretty much the Dogs game too. On paper our team was much more talented and should have won easily in both games. Problem was that the lesser talented teams were prepared to do the hard work and were disciplined enough to stuck to their structures while we were thinking it was a case of turning up and going through the motions to get the 4 points.Last night was evidence of that...

You've misread my comments. We were poor in our attitude towards the contest, we weren't prepared to work hard as a unit or even individually when it mattered. As I've said it doesn't matter how talented your players are, if they aren't prepared to work hard without the ball or put their heads over the ball when there is a contest they aren't going to win many games. It's not that. We've been beaten by Melbourne more often than not in the last few years - the players don't take them lightly. It'd be too easy to say 'we're much better, we just didn't try hard enough', but unfortunately that wasn't the case. We just weren't good enough. We lost the Dogs game because our ball movement going inside the fifty was atrocious. We lost the Melbourne game because our skills were awful, and because we were poor in the wet. Claiming it's because we just didn't turn up is papering over the cracks and just deluding ourselves.
Well, Morris has been put in the leadership group, God only knows why.
He is possibly the worst player in the AFL and I'm serious when I say that.
Was good as a lock down defender in 2013, but will never get back to that sort of form.
Gordon and Lloyd have hit their ceiling. Both are 25 and will not get any better.
Arnot at least has a crack, good on him. But his skills and decision making are so poor. Kicked a nice goal, but thats about it.
He is just a younger version of Matt Thomas, once again, a battler who Dimma seems to love.
McDonough is the most overrated player on this board, without a doubt.
I have watched the kid a few times at VFL level and in my opinion he has not stood out at all, I really don't see the fascination we have with this kid.
He is way too skinny to play the game. AFL is about big bodies these days, which we do not have at all.
All our players need to put on at least 3kg of muscle in the gym.
Even our captain looks so skinny that it looks like he has been smoking a crack pipe and hasn't eaten in about 5 days.
I've had enough of this absolute rubbish.
The culture down at Richmond has been around for 30 years and it stinks of mediocrity.
Enough is enough, major changes are required.
At least trade him and get something for him if we don't want him.If we let him go, I'd say Crows or Port would take him
Rubbish Petterd is. Hunt not even close.Don't really care who's in or out atm. Taylor Hunt must be the slowest hand to foot player I've seen. Takes him ages to drop the ball and kick it. Strange
It was stated this preseason he has trained all year in the fwd half and will play there. I think necessity meant down back last night. He's always played down back in seniors though. He had a few clearances last night too
Forget about trying to gain all of our drive from our half back line it's what is killing us . We need more goals from contests not from back half .Need extra drive off the hbf to help houli out. Shut our rebound down you beat us. Lids is a short term solution (and hes injured).
you forgot to drop LLoyd, surely after that display he doesnt ever pay seniors againIn: Vickery, Foley, Lennon
Out: Griffiths(inj), Drummond(inj), Morris
Play Vlastuin in the middle from now on
Yeah I'd drop Lloyd before GordonDidn't think Gordon was too bad, got a lot of it early and then drifted out but so did our whole team, hard for him to do much in the second half.
hunt lockdown small back ? or defensive fwd ? McDonough does he have footy smart's ? cause Lloyds does in spades and that's something you cant teachOut: Griffiths (injured), Drummond (injured), Llyod, Morris (won't happen)
In: Vickery, Lennon, Chaplin, Foley/Newman (fittest one of the two)
B: Chaplin, Astbury, Hunt
HB: Houli, Rance, Lennon
C: B. Ellis, Cotchin, McIntosh
HF: Edwards, Vickery, Miles
F: Mcdonough, Riewoldt, Gordon
R: Maric, Martin, Vlastuin
IC: Grigg, Arnot, Batchelor
Sub: Foley
Trial Hunt in the Morris role (upgrade in ability), McDonough in Lloyds role
