If possible
Ryder for Stewart.

Young for Ah Chee would be preferable but doesn't bother me. Also wow at the fact Trengove could be back. Blokes a freak in the rehab room.

Ah Chee for Amon
Ryder for Stewart

That's the only changes I'd make. Knowing our selections this year we'll have a surprise or two though.

If Ryder is fit, he comes in and Stewart goes out. Other than that, I'm not sure there will be any other changes. Structure doesn't need to change much either with Ryder coming in for Stewart. Not as if we will lose any run from it.

Ryder or Trengove for Stewart (if Trengove back Clurey to have some time also in the midfield and one of the KPDs to be the player subbed off).

Ah Chee for Sam Gray. Gray was ok, but we are still a big bodied mid short and of our smalls it's either him, Young or Amon to make way. Amon has much needed pace, with Polec out, and another left footer in the side to really open up both sides of the ground puts him in top of that list for me. And I'd back Young to get more disposals and do as well forward across a full game as Sam, and have more impact if the sub.

If Ryder and Trengove are available I'd give Bobby another weeks rest. He's looking better then the Richmond game, but not 100%.

You might not have to worry about Joel Selwood next week after he pressed his fingers into Ben Howlett's eye late in the game vs Essendon

The Channel 7 commentators didn't say anything about it afterwards. My guess is the AFL will try to sweep this under the rug like they usually do whenever one of their golden boys does something untoward.

I've seen players receive fines and suspensions for much much less than this.

I'm not seeing an eye gouge? It's a hand in the face, but is he gouging the eye?

Out, the sh*t disposal when a Port player had 5 - 10 metres of space to put the ball to adavantage ( come on down Tom Jonas ) that took the edge off tonight's win for me.

In, clean and accurate disposal that puts the ball to the advantage of a team mate.

Too much of the former and geebung could very well give us a smacking.

Selwood locates Howlett's eyes with his left hand, then brings up his right hand. Look closely at the fingers on his right hand just before he releases his grip. There is a clear forceful gouging/pressing motion with his fingers into Howlett's eye socket

Ryder for Stewart. If Ryder isn't ready no change. Would be keen to see Ah Chee come in but who would make way for him?

That looks ugly. Definite clawing motion at the end.

Yeah, if you enlarge the gif, you can clearly see Selwood's fingers at work, digging into Howlett's right eye-socket

It's a shame there was no outcry from Darce, Richo and Lingy. Without the momentum which they bring to any untoward incident, it just makes easier for the AFL sorry.. the independent MRP to overlook it or tell us it never happened.

Bet it doesn't even get cited.

Tough one this time. The players that I called to be dropped last week really stepped up tonight, so I'm just going to trust the selectors to make the right decisions.

Go in unchanged and let Arch dominate SANFL until after the bye.

I know it wont happen but if Ryder comes in, Lobbe has to go out. Theres really no other way.

It's not just that they can't work in tandem, its also that Ryder seems to take Westhoffs space away up forward. So there are actually 3 guys we are not getting the best out of.

The set up we are running with now - 1 ruck, Westhoff pinch hitting and Stewart giving us a bit more height forward. Is the best we have at the moment.

Yeah no other way...we can't win with these 2 guys playing together....unless its against the reigning premiers!
Lets face it, we are going to play Lobbe and Ryder if both fully fit.
