Changes vs Geelong

The only 2 things concerning me about this game are that it's on their home turf, a tough assignment for any team, and that they've lost 3 on the trot. They'll come out fire and brimstone but we sure owe them one. Plus they'll be rubbing in the anniversary year of the 119. Hey imagine the media headlines and buildup if we were to play them off in a GF.
Will be a good gauge to see how much the home ground helps them turn things around when Bulldogs play them this weekend at SS

this game is season defining, if we win you can say with a bit of confidence we are top 6 material but if we lose then you can say with a bit of confidence we are just making up the numbers. Geelong are an ok team that should come undone against a well drilled, consistent outfit

Whilst I agree, this has been said every game of the year so far. We've got a lot of ground to make up this year.

When you want to make finals, every game is important

Lol. We all know they are going to come out and play their best game of the year against us, as they do every year.
They'll certainly come out breathing fire this Friday on their own dung heap. But you're going to walk off the ground sore when you play the Dogs who hit hard and run hard.

I can see them being weary towards the end of our game after a 6 day turnaround.

I just can't work out whether a Geelong win or a Dogs win is better for us.

So I'll just hope for a brutal 4 quarter game and an overflowing medical room.

Geelong win imo

I hope they beat the absolute piss out of eachother on Friday night.

Changes:

Out: players who cannot handle physical pressure 134 tackles
In: brutal in and under types who take no **** from anyone and maintain their focus on the pill.
Atley thanks

They won't catch us, Cockatoo out was the last thing they needed.
Our defence is far stronger than what I saw of the Bulldogs last night.
Question will be can we kick enough goals
We match up well on them imo

After the Cats woeful tackling performance at the MCG it was obvious Chris Scott would breath fire at them and the next week would be different. But apart from a greater desire to tackle they were also playing on a much thinner oval where the chance to be tackled is much greater. The dimensions of the MCG are 171 X 146 and those of Simonds are 170 X 115. Our passing will have to be pin-point as any ball that is not direct to a man is likely to be a turnover or at best a 50/50.

Eddie to play? Sam Gray will most of the ones each team kicked last night. We need sharp shooters on that ground. That said they looked fragile last night. Looking forward to this one.

I wouldn't mind seeing that but the ones across the road might not be happy at that idea.

Surely Eddy or Dougie come in. ****in surely. We'd stretch their defence to breaking point with another KF.
