Am I the only one that doesn't have a problem with Young coming in?

There's like no difference in talent between Gus and Young IMO.
No you're not the only one. I expected no change, but now with Wingard injured Young or Eddy were the only options, they were the players last week that stood out with some AFL level play, the rest of the team was really poor.

For a coach that attempts to sell the whole brave mantra regarding footy Ken is anything but when it comes to how he operates regarding selections and match day tactics.

I don't think Young has been carrying an injury, well no more than a lot of players after a few rounds of footy. He would have had a rest last week if it was anything above minor, he's just hasn't been playing well and last years purple patch might have been just that - a patch.

Wingard is a huge out. We really need Boak to step up and perform like an elite level mid he once was, not a fumbly, panicky, can't kick HFF.

Robbie Gray needs to have a good game against a half decent side too. Both of those boys playing anywhere near what should be expected from them would more than help lessen Wingard's absence.

Did you originally write Matt Lobbe but felt mean?

No. Just pointing out that Young for Wingard doesn't really hamper us structurally the way White for Ryder did. Of course, Monfries is probably more deserving of a call up at the moment than Young, but that's a whole other argument.
I just think there's a little bit of over reaction.

We all know ken has no clue about selections. So don't melt we all know we are never going to win a flag under ken . So just wait til he gets sacked and then we can finally make a decent run at it , well hopefully
I reserve my judgement until after the Geelong game.

this is why i love the WB mentality. ruthless at the selection table

Whereas at Port Adelaide it's harder to get out of the default 'best 22' than it is to get in it.

Frampton after his huge 6 touch, and smashed in the ruck game???

People need to get over this Frampton stuff, kids still got a future but he's absolutely 100% not ready yet.
Looks like Frampton is the new Future.

Total bullcrap! Speak for yourself, not others!

I believe in this club and the TEAM ... We are Port, and we can win anything. We have the players, the skills, and the leaders. Just need them execute on-field.

Chucking wobblies over Young in instead of Monfries is just embarrassing.

I respectfully disagree I think we are. I think our selections, game plan, mental frailty etc etc has been stuffed but in terms of pure footballing ability I think we have the stronger team, in my opinion.
Considered response. Noting for comparison with Power Girl the human cyclone in a game day thread if we're losing. :D

The Australian cricket team of the AFL. Except the shit version, not the unbeatable one's from years ago.

So I won't mind if Gussy is brought in, but I will be ropeable if Young and White are considered.

What I would really like however is for Toumpas to come in as a like for like, straight into the guts... OR Sammy Gray into the midfield and Dougs up front.

But history suggests it'll be Young for Chad.

i think we will now know if Robbie Gray is injured in some way, if the coaches dont put him in the midfield then he must be carrying something.

Im happy to add Gus now that Chad is out and move robbie (at 70 percent) to midfield time

FTFY

I just hope that we don't show a post China letdown. Personally I think that the team will have bonded as a result of the unmitigated success that Shanghai was.Whilst Chad is a big loss, I imagine that Yong will use the opportunity to show that he is the AFL player we were all surprised to see last year.

As you so astutely note it is pre game day. I melt like icecream on hot cement come day:rolleyes:. I am not proud of it but I am what I am.

When she used to get dragged to the footy my wife disavowed all knowledge of my existence. It was pure coincidence she was sitting near me, a complete stranger. Quiet usual me going off my tree. Once was enough taking Dad to the footy (the Sydney QF, so I was breathing fire), to not want to go again. :D

Wow! Aaron didn't even play in China, but he felt so strongly about the trip that he changed his surname as a tribute to its success!
