Prediction Changes vs Geelong

3 more players under 50 games. It's challenging but not that great a difference and certainly not insurmountable. We've still got an average age of over 80 games.

4 of their 7 players under 50 games are over 24 years old. Abbott (27), Stewart (25), Kelly (24), and Thurlow (24). So while they don't have AFL experience, they would have a significant amount of games experience. Our oldest player under 50 games is Alex Pearce at 23.

Its not a very good guide is it. A more relevant and accurate stat to properly gauge the true experience of a team would be;

- amount of players under 10 games
- 11 to 40
- over 40

or amount of players in the team that fit all of the following criteria:
-under 24yo
-been on an AFL list for less than 4 years
-played less than 40 games.

the basics are that the best players by a country mile at Geelong are just old and they're having a last ditch effort to snatch a flag while they have the Selwood(31)/Dangerfield(29)/Ablett(35) combo + Hawkins (31)/Harry Taylor(33) who are approaching or in the twilight years of their careers.

I see big bad Bailey Banfield is an in, who does he go to this week? Selwood?

Sounds eerily familiar. Expect Geelong to fall off the cliff next year then.

It’ll be interesting to see who we rate as the most damaging of their mids. We usually allow high poss but low hurt factor to go untagged and concentrate on the more effective and damaging mids.

Be either Selwood or Duncan I reckon.

Ablett flips out if he is tagged..used to lose his mind at creepy..bring it on Bailey!!!
I hope we don't try to lock down too much, would be happy to let the young blokes back themselves and their pace and see how we go. I prefer Bailey at half forward and let Langdon run off one of the Geelong old boys in the midfield. Might not win but will get more ball in to Tabb's and Cox and see what they can do and how good they are going to be

Would be great to see BB on Ablett. Could have brought Crowley in for some specialist mentoring during the week, and a packet of Kleenex to give to Jnr before the game.
