Why play another tall when we can play Scott, McComb, McNeil, and West all in the same side. Marra and Schache haven’t even been named as emergencies.
All I can say, is that if we’re gonna go with the mosquito fleet they better ******* play like a mosquito fleet and just hunt and terrorize at the bottom of every contest.
Wrong match ups from the start was poor by Bevo8 goals for Cameron & Hawkins.

Lol. TruePlease do not put the above players in the group linked to the mosquito fleet it’s a pure insult to any previous player in that category.

100% what you and the coaches don’t seem to understand is that Sweet allows English to be English. I agree last week that the Eagles rucks were so abysmal it didn’t matter. But that’s the point. Why the f*ck were the coaches assessing our need for two rucks and more talls based on the Eagles game. The eagles would lose to some VFL sides. You seriously thought Sweet offered more than Buku last week?
Hindsight king over here.100% what you and the coaches don’t seem to understand is that Sweet allows English to be English. I agree last week that the Eagles rucks were so abysmal it didn’t matter. Our side should have been selected based on playing Geelong. A team that hides us constantly when we go in with one ruck and too small.
Isn’t our coach paid to do this this full time? It’s not rocket science.
No not reallyHindsight king over here.
And you're sure that playing Sweet for the entirety of the game wouldn't have resulted in Geelong scoring goals in other areas of the game?No not really
The concerns were there it just happened to transpire to script.
A goal down Buku in the ruck Geelong go bang bang
I can’t be sure if he played what the result would have been like you can’t so deal withAnd you're sure that playing Sweet for the entirety of the game wouldn't have resulted in Geelong scoring goals in other areas of the game?
If you think Sweet was the difference, you're delusional.I can’t be sure if he played what the result would have been like you can’t so deal with
What I am sure of is this
Sweet was dropped and we lost to Geelong deal with certainties instead of what if he played
Answer this Did Sweet play? did we beat Geelong?
We will never know but go with what we knowIf you think Sweet was the difference, you're delusional.
Hindsight? Mate people were calling this all week. Nothing hindsight about it.Hindsight king over here.
Noted that it plays into their rucks strengths and negates English’sPeople are quick to say Geelongs rucks are shit but it was only a couple of weeks ago Stanley & Blicavs had 30 touches, 40+ HO, 6 contested marks and 4 goals between them. I actually think it’s the wrong strategy to think because they’re not good traditional “ruckmen” we can play non-ruckman against them - it actually should be the opposite IMO, playing Dunks, Buku, Bont etc against them means we’re playing into their strengths - and letting them off the hook with their weaknesses, in the ruck contests, which they will win against those guys, and then they can still provide their usual strengths which is around the ground.
We should be playing English & Sweet so we can take advantage of their weakness in the ruck and guarantee we get first use all day. Blicavs especially is a huge aerobic beast and won’t get worked over from English like others do, plus we’ll be expecting him to then ruck 95% of the day whilst Stanley & Blicavs can work him over - eliminating his strengths in the process.
Noted that Buku will struggle (had 53% TOg) in an expanded role, Naughty will be one out and struggle. Why is Sweets TOG relevant though? it’s about Bukus, whose role becomes super important as our 2nd tall and only 2nd ruck. Even at 65% he’s been a non factor in the last quarter of every game he’s played And that’s just as a forward now we’re asking him (if as expected he rucks) to completely expand his role and ruck against two aerobic beasts, plus he becomes more important down forward as he’s our only other tall. Last week he played 64% of the game in the forward line and Sweet played 30-40% forward, this week If he has to ruck for up to 30% of the game he’ll spend maybe another 30% forward and Naughty will spend up to 70% of the game one out, enjoy Stewart can I bet on him to have 15 intercept marks?
The game wasn't lost on Thursday night at all. There's nobody in the VFL that would have provided enough for us to win last night, if Sweet comes in and Buku comes out, who's to say other parts of the game aren't impacted.Hindsight? Mate people were calling this all week. Nothing hindsight about it.
My posts from this week - couldn’t have been more spot on really, apparently the only people who can’t see it just so happen to run the club but anyway

Now I’m just some fat campaigner sitting on my couch, how is it so obvious to someone like me (and legit 90% of dogs fans) but so bloody hard for the people who make the decisions to see this shit.
Game was lost on Thursday night, as per duckin usual
Sweet for McComb, we probably win. Sweet & Schache for McComb & McNeil we probably win by a few goals, Sweet & Schache & JUH in for McComb, McNeil & Buku and we have a pretty cruisey win.The game wasn't lost on Thursday night at all. Sure, we know we didn't win and Sweet didn't play but last year we played the Cats we had the two tall forwards, two tall defenders, and a ruck set up and we lost that game too (which is the set up many are begging for).
Kinda felt like this really lolYeah we'll work really hard get lots of clearances kick inaccurately at goal eventually score after 10 minutes of hard work. You'll then get a quick couple in 2 minutes![]()
We probably this and we probably that.Sweet for McComb, we probably win. Sweet & Schache for McComb & McNeil we probably win by a few goals, Sweet & Schache & JUH in for McComb, McNeil & Buku and we have a pretty cruisey win.
Plenty of options - as what was so obvious a lot of people called it to a tee pre game, happened, game was lost on Thursday night.
Hindsight??Hindsight king over here.
How can you say he had nothing to do with English’s game?We probably this and we probably that.
Sweet played last week mate, look at his game. If you think he had anything to do with English being BOG as well you're not looking at the game properly.

Sweet had as much to do with last week as he did this week. How can you say he had nothing to do with English’s game?
Sweet played last week and we won by 100 what’s your point here?
Oh ok. Bruce = Buku gotcha.Last year we had the same set up as we did last night. Cordy, Gardner and Keath as our 3 tall defenders. Naughton and Bruce as our tall forwards. English as the sole ruck.

Sweet had as much to do with last week as he did this week.
Nada. None. Zilch.
When I saw Buku in the ruck I thoughtSweet gives the mids confidence, his aggressiveness rubs off. Do you think Treloar’s heart swells when he sees Buku in the ruck?
Sweet’s presence isn’t just about tog or stats. Midfielders like having a real ruckman in there. He tackles he chases he puts himself about.
I’m sure there were some pissed off mids when they saw the team selection this week.
