Changes vs Geelong?

Yes, if he challenges and wins, he plays against Geelong. If he loses, he still only misses the one match

Bit of a no-brainer then. What a bizarre system.

Just a quick one, I have been told by many Carlton supporters that Collingwood is still a useless team despite the Geelong win. Therefore Geelong most be terrible and I now believe that your side that got over Fremantle by 9 points should be able to easily account for the cats with an unchanged lineup.

Should I believe people when they tell me that the Geelong win means nothing or should I wait untill after this week when Carlton who I have been told are better than Collingwood give Geelong the same hiding that we gave them last week?? Any thoughts

You have won 4 games apart fromt he Geelong game, you have defeated Richmond, Essendon and Freo...thats 3 teams in the bottom 5 before the start of round 9 and who have only won 6 games between them.

The other team is StKilda, the most underperformed team in the past 8 years.

So yes, Collingwood are still unproven.

Now that I have had to answer question off the topic, bugger off back to slums.

My prediction:

CARLTON
B:
Setanta O’hAilpin, Bret Thornton, Shaun Grigg
HB: Heath Scotland, Paul Bower, Andrew Carrazzo
C: Joe Anderson, Chris Judd, Kade Simpson
HF: Simon Wiggins, Jake Edwards, Bryce Gibbs
F: Brad Fisher, Brendan Fevola, Eddie Betts
Foll: Matthew Kreuzer, Nick Stevens, Marc Murphy
I/C: Adam Bentick, Steven Browne, Shaun Hampson, Jordan Russell

In:
Joe Anderson, Bret Thornton

Out:
Pfeifer (omitted), Waite (susp)

I know they don't like dropping players from a winning side but i think they will go for pace against Geelong so i don't think Hadley or Pfeifer will play. Kreuzer, Hampson or Edwards may give way for Cloke (If avaliable) and Bannister may come in instead of Anderson or in place of Browne.

We can win the ruck this week, Geelong's rucks aren't much. Blake will be a good matchup for Kreuzer/Hampson.

Either way should be a good test and good education for our young players...

i know u sed u didnt want to omit anyone.. but seriously pfeiffer? the things he did were great.. not just the goal and did 2 360's around opponets and bounced off them like a little nuggety guy he is(i think huddo or christian sed this)

Totally, completely, unapologetically agree.

Im thinking that his lack of pace will be exploited by geelong, they have many more quicker players than Freo and might run rings around some of our slower blokes.

Although I would like to see Pfeifer played as a small forward, he seems to have some goal sence.

If Thornton, Cloke and/or Bannister are avaliable i think 3 may have to make way.

Just though they might go with an attacking defender like Anderson.

Calls to drop Wiggins are rediculous, had the same impact as Pfeifer but i think Wiggins offers more defencive pressure and is better in the air.

Either way such a very hard call, he was the emmergancy last week but he didn't do a lot wrong, perhaps needed to do what Bentick did to cement his place.

Beating Freo was nothing. At the end of the Geelong game we will know who is up to it and who isn't. Who can play against good sides because that's what you do in finals. If I had my way I'd like to play Geelong, Hawthorn, Bulldogs and Kangaroos more, it would give us a better idea of where we are at and where individuals are at.

Hahaha those commentators are terrible, they jump on the bandwagon to what ever side/player is on top at the time. Turn the sound down and make your own decisions...
Also what player did have a bad game? They all contributed. It's horses for courses, Freo aren't any good, Geelong are a much better side than them and are structured differently, also some of the players coming back from injury will play for Carlton or not at all, someone has to make way. It's hard to take players out of a winning side, but you have to look at their form over the whole year and not one game over a mediocre side.

Out: Waite (suspended)
In: Cloke

Keep T-Bird and Bannister in the Ants for an extra week because nobody deserves to be dropped and it will keep them hungry. Although Wiggins is not a talented player, he tries hard and has done just enough to keep his place.
