Apologies. Should have called you ******* instead.

What does 50k posts have to do with anything? Another frail argument from your good self.

I challenged you last week, this is last week remember - pay attention now, yet you couldn't come up with anything remotely close to a good argument.

Then you proceed to message me like a petulant little child who has proven the adult wrong.

Your hatred for Masten is the only reason you wanted him out.

His form past fortnight has been poor, but we all know he has been the scapegoat for the elephant in the room.

As an aside what will you do if Masten is a late in for Shuey? Cry more?

Read back through my posts buddy I stated the reason numerous times. It's a game of football I couldn't care less, I don't hate players, I could just see that we weren't getting anywhere with him in the side.
You're exactly the reason I barely post here, irrational one eyed supporters.

Regarding Lamb I don't see the problem. Simpson has identified the long term replacement for Kennedy and his name is Drew Petrie. After all if you are going to develop someone off the rookie list you need to invest some games into them. Alternatively the likes of Karpany, Cole, Partington and co will all get their chances in two years time when all of Priddis, Lecras, Mitchell and co retire en mass. Then we'll have a quarter of our team running out with less than 10 games experience each. List management is looking great!

Actually Biggie can be hard on Eagles players and calls them out for their sins. One eyed - I do not think so. Strong on WC and passionate but I would nothave called him either one eyed or irrational.

If the call had been in 2016, Masten was rubbish for a large number of games and was a favourite whipping boy (me included). That said, a number of posters have been vocal saying yes his last 2 weeks was poor but he had been one of the more consistent performers up until then.

How would I summarise Masten? He cannot lay or break a tackle but he still tries. His great endurance means that he gets loads of red time possessions. The game has probably gone past him. Pretty decent foot skills but wasted kicking backwards. Has not impacted the scoreboard anywhere near enough for an outside mid who rests forward.

My reading is that there is general consensus that he will be a great acquisition for East Perth and he needs to take Priddis with him (or maybe Priddis should already be there).

I am far from being a one eyed irrational supporter. But if that helps you get on with your life so be it. :)

And this board is better for you not posting on it, so thank you :thumbsu:

Quality post.

Masten of last season would've copped both barrels from me. This season not so much (excluding past fortnight) but I can't help but feel he's been a scapegoat. Good chance he plays anyway with Shuey still under a cloud.

Priddis is simply the one that has to go. The game has gone past him at a rate of knots., hell you can see that during the games clear as day. Been a wonderful servant, but his time has come.

I think when Wellingham is back we play him in Mastos position on the wing instead. Yes Wellingham does have the tendency do some stupid things but the one thing i like is his willingness to take the game on even if it only works out 50/50. Masten just does backwards kicks when the team is under pressure. With Nelson & Jetta back in the team we have some added pace down back and on a wing which can be furthered with with Wellingham playing on a wing.

Priddis will not get dropped unfortunately and it is also frustrating how he can only play in the guts when at least Mitchell is handy on the half back.

With that setup in mind

Nelson Barrass Shep
Yeo Gov Hurn

Wellingham Sheed Gaff

Ruck: Vardy Shuey Mitchell

- Jetta & Cripps to rotate onto a wing so add some pace.

Wellinghams kicking is too inconsistent to have him playing up the ground.

I think it is time we let Shep show us what he can do on a wing, has pace and a much neater kick.

Drop Priddis and play Weller's on ball. He takes the game on and actually attacks the footy and the ball. He is no longer a soft outside flanker that he was back in the day. It also injects speed and also stops are from getting cut up at stoppages.

Masten is a turnover merchant, I look away as soon as he gets the ball ( given to him 99% of the time I might add as well ) and he never disappoints with the usual glance toward the middle to see if there is a 3 on 1 contest he can kick to.

You look away as soon as he gets the ball but he never disappoints with the glance toward the middle.....

How would you know if you're looking away?

Father Time has arrived for Priddis- no shame in that, happens to everyone. I get the feeling he knows it as well- lots of rushed kicks when he has had more time to dispose of it.

Probably where his lack of versatility hurts a lot, especially in comparison to Mitchell who can play other roles, despite his lack of pace.

He's been a fantastic servant of our football club. I am a massive fan of his work ethic & desire to get every inch out of his footballing career.

Please. If Lecras pkayed Karpanys game people would call for his head.

He had 2 bad weeks based on his inability to put anything through the goalposts, but he had chances and he was alright with the ball in hand.
on your logic of course I would. 400 goals, so much experience, he should def cop it if he displays poorly.

Unfortunately I think we have reached our quota for dropping under performing players
If we get rolled by 5 goals this weekend, I daresay there will be a few changes.

On another matter, even though it may not necessarily affect the results of games, hoping that for the rest of the season, we give more games to players like Mutimer, Parto and Karps, instead of continually playing the same default depth players like Duggan, Redden, Hutchings, especially since they haven't been particularly impressive, we need to give an opportunity to the others as well.

I am disappointed Karps didn't get more games as he showed some nice signs but it isn't surprising. He came in for LeCras and if LeCras is fit, despite fluctuating form and average form away, he poses far more of a threat up forward at the moment. With Kennedy out, you can see why they would want LeCras back with his goal kicking potential. They possibly could have had both and dropped someone else but again, of the forwards, they all have more runs on the board and are more likely to hit the scoreboard or offer more around the ground at the moment. Agreed it isn't looking to the future but again, with Kennedy out, you can see why they went that way. McKenzie I am not sold on but will need to wait to see how he is used. Again, I would have liked to bring Lamb in but that may have required more structural and personnel changes than simply replacing Kennedy with McKenzie (whoever plays forward). I have no problem with Masten being dropped as I don't think we can play Gaff, Masten and Jetta but think Masten has been pretty good this year apart from the last two weeks. But the change is fine as he is limited and we need to mix the midfield up. That said, it is the Priddis, Hutchings midfield combo that is the bigger problem and really it is Priddis' form that is the biggest issue.
