That's not an argument ziad.

"Somebody" doesn't cut it. Agree in Masten flaws, but we need to be able to present an argument.
Masten is decent when someone isn't in full flight and thats due to his short arms and stregth but is decent tackling in congestion or when a the oppo is in a tough situation.

I agree. Has big flaws.

No we get to see the side without him. Hopefully he's kept out and I dare say this depends on one Lewis Jetta.

Whether readers agree or not - Priddis is still seen as the best pure inside mid at the club & held in really high esteem by other clubs.
Got to say that is a view in the rear vision mirror. Based on what I have seen this month, poor old Matty is either more seriously injured than a slight niggle or the game has gone past him. What he was like last year and how he trains has nothing to do with whether he (a) gets selected each week and (b) whether he gets offered an extension at the end of the year.

If the game was just a scrawling maul, he probably would survive. However his pedestrian jogging in space with little relevance to what is happening in open play during the past 2 weeks is not becoming that of a club champion and Brownlow Medalist. Shame on the MC for not addressing the injury and then over to the List Manager - who will have a very difficult conversation ahead of him later this year.

ATG - the plan from the start of the year was to have Priddis and Mitchell together. The club knows Priddis's limitations with ball in hand and believed by adding Mitchell it would allow Shuey, Gaff and Jetta to be more freer and more damaging. Couple of things at play

1) Vardy is not Naitanui or Lycett. He's not as consistent (winning or losing) or as proactive when balls in the air so Priddis is having to be more static.

thanks as always for your insights bondy.

it needs to be acknowledged that even with nicnat and/or lycett in the side our issues around clearances persist.
imo (and sadly) we have never managed to convert nicnats physical/aerial dominance into any sort of clear advantage.

pointing fingers at vardy isn't right. despite plenty of evidence and commentary highlighting the problems within our one-paced midfield it certainly appears that little has been tried/effective in rectifying the problem. hard to see that changing with the cattle we have unfortunately.
