We drop the same 3-4 players every time, around and around we go.

Logue was brought straight back in like he was Matthew Scarlett.

He was blowing like an absolute steam train half way through the second. I was embarrassed watching him tbh.

Zurhaar has had two absolute shitshows two weeks in a row.

Bailey Scott between Rnd 24 last year and last week has had 2 of the worst games of his career in the space of 5 games.

Tucker is in his 10th season and averaging 14 touches a game, when is he prepared to draw a line through him?

I think Daniels last 58 disposals have just about been the most disgusting in the history of football.

Where was this big spiel "I only want players capable of playing on the last day in September etc etc"

Are we ever going to hold any senior players to account, ever?

RHJ and Whitlock should be auto omissions for obvious reasons.
I was sitting near the North bench for the first half and it felt as though Logue spent ages off the ground and running along the boundary.

I think the ins have to include Archer. Wardlaw Phillips. The outs are harder but I would like to see some accountability with someone like Zurhar dropped or even LDU. When are they going to actually consistently play to the elite level that is expected of them?

There is next to nothing behind him.

Goad would get eaten alive and everything else is makeshift.

Btw I have no issue running on makeshift if it preserves him and we get more in the long run.

The brains trust on here will hate the ramshackle nonsense we have to run in order to facilitate it though.

Oh i know thats the most concerning

He was monstered by a squib last week

We want heads to roll.

let i hate everyone GIF

A changing of personnel is not going to elevate them a win. We have forwards or half forwards who don't work high enough up the ground to provide a target, are either too lazy or don't know where to lead to. The midfield is stagnant because nobody is coming at them. The midfield set up on Saturday night was laughable. So many Swans players hanging off waiting for the inevitable turnover.

So no change then? 🤪

I don't disagree on the merits, but we have no one to replace him in that specific role at VFL level.

I'd say Duursma, but he's been absolutely poo at the VFL level.
Duursma was good enough for an AFL call up on Sundays VfL game. Half forward, zurhaar in the twos. Lets see how Zurhaar goes in the VFL.

Start with

Out - the ins from last week.

In - the outs from last week.

Then add
In - someone who can contested mark and relief ruck.

Out - a bench spot, a forward spot whatever

Out - if he is too sore X

In - what combination of dropped pasty or shit sandwich we need to take in order to cover that.

In - Wardlaw
Out - I don’t really care tbh. He gets a run.

I think we’re pretty f***ed in this game tbh. I can’t see how we win it. We have no continuity, and on Saturday’s showing we have no confidence in anything we’re doing. They on the other hand will hit this game with an expectation that not only can they beat us but that they should beat us.

I honestly don’t know.

I feel as lost as they look.

Here's where Clarkson confuses me.

He played a shitmen like Howe ostensibly as a "role player".

He played a clearly declining Shiels as a "role player".

He plays Tucker as a "role player" (I don't mind Tucker fwiw).

But he has guys like Teakle, Pink, Maley who have either performed their support roles dutifully in the past and/or give every sign of fighting tooth and claw for their opportunity to do so.

Instead he drops a fit and functional Pink for an unsurprisingly sloppy Logue.

Teakle has the height, marking and skill to create a genuine 3rd tall forward or be a legitimate relief ruck.

Instead he shifts the 192cm Darling to ruck against blokes 5 inches taller and simultaneously robs Larkey of a foil.

It's utterly bizarre.

Don't start me on why you'd play Whitlock at this stage of development over the aforementioned three. He produced about what you'd expect out a 3 VFL game 18yo beanpole.

If you didn't know Clarkson's resume you'd think you were watching the selections and gameplan of Mark Neeld.

Now I haven’t seen much of Maley but for a team that has either a dump kick up the line as their 1 wood or seems so proficient to kick a 2 on 1 forward like it’s a training drill, I can’t fathom why he wouldn’t be tried. At least from what I see, he will provide a contest & bring the ball to ground.

I'm sorry, but did you watch the VFL game?

I disagree with the notion that Duursma was good enough for a call-up. Regardless of what the in-house match report on our website says.

Francis out marked him quite a lot in the VFL game. Against an even better opponent he might be up against it. He’s showing great signs though.

Yeh I did actually. As a half forward he was actually better than good. As a mid, not so. At least he takes marks and hits the goal, plus he can hit a target inside 50. Kind of the player we are screaming out for.
