In: Trengove, Dickson

Its going to be a totally different ballgame against the Giants with Finalyson, Himmelberg and Cameron in the team. Trengove is tough and can also jump into Mumford a few times and give English a break.

Hayes just fumbles too much under pressure, and although

West looked great but I'm not sure he'll run out the game in a final.

People seem to think Cordy was bad today but I disagree. Thought he was solid.

Richards was good as well providing speed and run and pressure.

If we manage to advance we'll either face Brisbane or Richmond who both have taller forwards:

Richmond: Lynch, Riewoldt, Chol/Balta
Bris: Hipwood, McInerny, Mcstay

Cordy and Young are fit and mobile so I think we can manage it.

Can't see Libba coming in. He hasn't been himself since the early rounds.

Exactly my point. The team has evolved so much that Libba needs to be fit and firing to get a game and still may not be first choice.

Mich prefer he plays fwd but we can swing back if need be later in game.

I wouldn't be worried about the Cameron matchup. If he's on song, he will towel up any of our available defenders.

Trengove is important for aerial presence, rather than any specific matchup. GWS will bomb it forward numerous times like every team does every match, and this is where Trengove earns his paycheck.

He's also a utility that can fill in the ruck. I'd much rather Trengove backing up English as the second ruck than Schache, especially against a very physical ruckman like Mumford.

Cameron's a tough match up because he can hurt you leading and deep. I think our zone needs to deal with the leading targets (regardless of his direct opponent), at least Trengove can be competitive deep, whereas Cordy or Young would be very vulnerable.

Trengove is nearly the first picked for me he’s the only player I trust to defend one on one, and in finals you get a lot more high balls.

You need campaigner in the finals, forget GWS last week, they will bring plenty this time around. Cordy stays in for this reason.

This will be a big test for Schache, Dale, Hayes and Richards who are lightly framed to cope with finals toughness, better we find out now rather than later.

West stays in for me. I worry about Dickson's ability to get over any injury quickly these days, and we haven't been given any info on it. Richards first on the chopping block. I reckon Hayes has been pretty decent the last few weeks so i'm happy for him to stay in.

I do think Trengove needs to return though. Will be important.

Nobody deserves to be dropped. That is the nature when the team is going so well.

No change for me. Really enjoyed West's game. Unless Libba or Dickson are absolutely 100% they don't come in.

Richard's isnt getting dropped hes been very handy with his pace. We need to think who is the best matchup for Cameron? He plays more as a quick forward than a dominant aerial player which makes me believe Cordy goes to him.

I do want trengove in the team but young has been excellent. Tough match committee this week. Libba doesnt get in as our mids have been dominant and cohesion is important

I know that the match committee would be loathe to leave Cordy out when he has played every game but I’m sick of seeing him getting beaten consistently in one on ones and would much rather take my chances with Trengove. I don’t think Young gets dropped and I’m not sure if we can have all three. I know Cordy does some good things in coverage defence but I don’t think he will keep up with Cameron, having said that Trengove will probably struggle there also so maybe Young gets Cameron, but I think we need Trengoves one on one ability and back up ruck.

In terms of Dickson, I think if he is fit he definitely plays. The out comes down to either West, Richards or Hayes. Not sure who they pick as each brings something different and each have had their moments.

Caleb Daniel we know from his history always takes a week or so to find his feet.
Let him play 2s first up.
I trust the match committee in which talls they choose.They all have pros and cons.
Cordy is a proven finals player.And played well YESTERDAY.
Hope Dickson plays for the same reason..
Love to see Cavarra at Naughton and Schache's boot laces.
But who do you drop.

Hayes and Richards play on the wings. Caleb can fill that role if he comes back.

Bevo was a bit wishy-washy re Libba and said Caleb was still a way off. I don't think either could come straight in at this stage. Mid season maybe but we can't afford underdone players. It's not 2016!

Dickson may miss out, unfortunately. Unchanged would be my preference.
