You know as long as we win this one I think I can cope bowing out if it comes to it. Obviously much prefer to go all the way

Don’t think so and that’s why I picked West to go out at the start of the thread. I’ve been happy with Hayes as well since he came back into the team.Hayes and Richards play on the wings. Caleb can fill that role if he comes back.
Can west?
Fletch in to dominate Cameron in another final?
that is a good question...Slightly off topic but do West, Young and Trengove all play vfl this week?

He had his snoz smashed by Cameron early that game. It was the exact moment I thought we were a real chance, GWS going the knuckle rather than playing the ball.He actually played on Patton that day I think

Not sure where to put this but need to vent some frustration at English and his regular approach to centre bounces where he will go up a fraction earlier than his opponent....now I am aware that this is a strategy to beat your opponent....problem is that this is not working....Simon Madden was a brilliant exponent of this so maybe lets get Simon in to teach Tim the finer points to this ruck skill....I realise that Tim is young and there is no doubt in a year or 2 he will be one of the games best ruckman and it is only through practice he will get better...but right now this going up early needs to become a winner for Tim not his opponent

Absolutely not....this kid is going to be a gun and all hats off to him for trying different strategies....there was one tap from a centre bounce yesterday that went straight to the Bont which was brilliant to watch....would just like to see more of them.....which will happen once he gets better...my frustration is I am yet to see him win a tap out from going up early.....though I am sure it will happen....eventuallyOkay. Thanks for your vent.
Do you want him dropped for this reason?
Will be interesting to see what we do given the bye week. It'll be interesting to see what they do next week with Footscray's VFL final with who plays and who doesn't.
Hayes, West, Richards & Young could all potentially be left out of the first final with guys like Trengove, Dickson & Libba potential ins.
I'm no master of ruck craft but suspect going up a bit early is part of the strategy to at least halve the contest at this stage. At best they get an under pressure tap, which makes it pretty 50-50. Knowing he'll otherwise win around the ground it's a fair proposition imo.Not sure where to put this but need to vent some frustration at English and his regular approach to centre bounces where he will go up a fraction earlier than his opponent....now I am aware that this is a strategy to beat your opponent....problem is that this is not working....Simon Madden was a brilliant exponent of this so maybe lets get Simon in to teach Tim the finer points to this ruck skill....I realise that Tim is young and there is no doubt in a year or 2 he will be one of the games best ruckman and it is only through practice he will get better...but right now this going up early needs to become a winner for Tim not his opponent
Very similar game by West. Followed up his 1 tackle debut with a 2 tackle effort. Puts on pressure in other ways but he needs to get those numbers up if he wants a shot in a finals team.
Maybe another reason to include Trenners. A few brief runs in the ruck to blunt Mummy and co a little rather than Tim absorbing nearly all of the force. An extra big fiercely competitive body rarely goes astray in finalsNo doubt they will do the same again. It could be Mummy's last ever game. He may possibly decapitate someone....
