Think Dickson comes back for West and that’s probably it.

Even if Liberatore is fit I’d probably leave him out. Libba needs to be in the guts to play his best footy and I’d rather keep the mix of the big three in the middle for long periods of time. The rest of the team looks quite balanced around those three guys and I’m not sure Libba offers as much as those guys playing forward or wing.

Not sure what that means to Liberatore and Wallis going forward. Dunkley, Bontempelli and Macrae have played every game this season and that won’t happen every season. Definitely wouldn’t advocate trading them but I don’t know where they fit anymore.

Most positions are settled with our recent good form and few injuries. Having said that I think Dickson comes in if fit and Trengove to add strength to the back line. The outs are interesting Hayes, West or Richards for Dickson. Cordy or Young for Trengove. I would go Hayes and Young as the unlucky outs.

To even be considered Libba would need to play in this weekends reserve game just to prove his fitness and then he'd have to play really well.

That goes against what they did with Liber in 2016.

Real dilemma because since then he has had another ACL is also 3 years older but I still think he is in our best 22.

Not sure where to put this but need to vent some frustration at English and his regular approach to centre bounces where he will go up a fraction earlier than his opponent....now I am aware that this is a strategy to beat your opponent....problem is that this is not working....Simon Madden was a brilliant exponent of this so maybe lets get Simon in to teach Tim the finer points to this ruck skill....I realise that Tim is young and there is no doubt in a year or 2 he will be one of the games best ruckman and it is only through practice he will get better...but right now this going up early needs to become a winner for Tim not his opponent
Maybe it is a deliberate tactic to protect his young body against monsters that would make you and I crap our footy shorts.

In
- Dickson if he is right to go otherwise keep him on ice for another week
- Trengove as I think we need to counter GWS talls

Outs are West and Hayes

He's not even in full training.

Bevo sounds keen to have Dickson back, not so much Trengove.

Interesting to see that we have some quality unavailable due to injury and injury related mid-season retirement:

Daniel
Liberatore
Morris
Wallis
Jong
Picken
Boyd

Imagine if all of these guys had played to their best form all season.

Not a bad effort at all to make 7th spot given the long injury list this season.

Every team has these. Injuries, retirements, players taking time off etc.

We have been blessed with a good run this year. We've had our 3 best players available every game. Wood has played his first full season in... forever.

GWS, Collingwood, Essendon and Richmond have been absolute ravaged, yet they all sit in the finals.

Can anybody recall who went to Whitfield after half time of our match 2 weeks ago?

Bevo mentioned in the presser we took Whitfield away from them in the second half as he was having a huge impact. Was barely sighted second half.

I can't remmeber who was running with him though. Dare say they get the job from the first bounce.

Have to shut down Davis and Whitfield IMO. McLean to run with Whitfield and Cordy to play a role on Davis. They've also got Haynes and Williams who need to be accounted for.

They're going to be a lot stronger next week then they were a couple weeks ago. Going to be a cracking game.

Haynes won't play. Injured

GWS have 3 "key" forwards that they play which are Cameron, Himmleberg and Finlayson. I would say Lew Young goes to Himmelberg with Wood on Finlayson and that would mean Cordy on Cameron which scares the sh!t outta me. Trengove does not have the pace to keep up with Cameron who loves getting on his bike with the high ball out the back from transition turnover. We need Wood/Crozier to really be the third man up to peel off and kill the high ball contest between Cordy and Cameron. Not sure Trengove has a really suitable matchup this week like a Josh Kennedy or Tom Hawkins big strong KPF

From the Giants website:
Cameron said Toby Greene (calf), Stephen Coniglio (knee), Jacob Hopper (hamstring), Brett Deledio (calf) and Nick Haynes (larynx) could all be available in two weeks.
Lol how quickly Haynes is recovering once they realised they couldn't get Bont rubbed out.

Spot on. Feel for Haynes, one of my favorite players. Would take him at the dogs anyday
I'd put good money on him playing, even if he is under a little duress.
Love watching him play, just not against the dogs.
